what a silly idea??...do these people think orkut is the only social networking site??...what stupidity!!...there are scores of social networking websites, if you ban one the other would become popular and more and more would sprung up...how could anyone stop it??...
Orkut is something which helps us get in touch with people whom we haven't heard from for sometime.Shiva sena can request for that Topic to be removed or banned but they don't have any right to seek a ban on Orkut..If they have rights to voice their concerns like these or about whether pakistan cricket team can tour india or not then every citizen of india have rights to voice about their thoughts....Govt needs to understand that they r not in power bcoz of Shivsena but bcoz of the faith people had in them..i hope they realise such things and dont take decisions where people start thinking whether this Govt party really knows democracy or not
It is a ridiculous decision, if banned. Fire, can be used to burn properties if you are a freak. But if the same is used geniunely, it will cook the food that fills our stomach. Citing the previous case shall we ban the fire? Try to get rid of those freaks! That is the solution.
I owe my thanks to orkut that helped me to find back many of my primary/middle school/univ friends to making a present good friends circle. Even today sitting thousands of miles away, I leave a couple of scrap notes to my brother in his orkut and smile with delight, believing that it will bring the same in face! I have many good experiences with Orkut.
Why dont we lodge a formal complaint to google to remove those unwanted elements from Orkut and see to it to be removed? A matured/Wise decision instead of vandalising internet cafes and unwanted discussions?
When they can not curb Crime and Fnataic people, the Govt. of India, governing the THE LARGEST DEMOCRACY OF THE WORLD will always do Musharraf and ban all the platforms where citizens can speak freely. What an IDEA!!!
The Shiv Sena and Shiv Sainiks represent an India that was: Uneducated, spineless, crude and insecure -- now reduced to a despicable lumpen minority. It's ironic that a bunch of louts like these can dare to claim to be the protectors of the image of a great man like Shivaji. Modern India can do without such trash, and thankfully our youth today will not tolerate or support such disruptive thuggery. I can only hope that many many more sites like the one in question are set up all over the Web just to teach these lousy goons a lesson.

shiv sena needs some issue to live in news thats all previously they demanded to change name of hotel bombay blue to mumbai blue dont they know the school where udhhav thackeray son studies is Bombay scottish Jai maharashtra
if this is the parameter to ban sites then each and every site will be banned one day and we will only have shivsena.org in india

If orkut is to be banned because of misuse by some persons, then lets go ahead and ban yahoo,all chat,internet,watching movies,reading books,going to parks.. everything!
I have been highly benefited from Orkut..It helped me to choose the correct career path after i got vital inputs from some members of a particular community...Banning ORkut will only prove how spineless our Govt is...tomorrow some other party will demand ban the entire world wide web....its like talibanising the entire society..
