I don't think this govt will last long.Digambar was a compromise.local leaders wanted either Rane or narvekar but the central leaders wanted ravi. hence a compromise CM had to be appointed.
Well making a person a Chief Minister who has changed Party loyalties just for political ambitions, will be good news to the entire species of Party defectors or AyaaRaams and GayaaRaams. Mr Pratap Singh Rane and Mr Ravi Naik may have sweated out in the Congress their entire lifes, but the Congress high command has now started a new precedent of rewarding with Chief Ministership to party defectors.
I think Narayan Rane in negihbouring Maharashtra must now be jumping with joy, reason he is too a party defector, and Congress also is looking at Party defectors to be made the Chief Ministers now it seems..!!!

well Goa had worse than that, here the Speaker of the of the Legislative Assembly on one hand engadged in disqualifying other MLA's using the anti defection law and on the other hand himself became a Chief Minister..!!!

congress party is for the dynasty of the dynasty and by the spineless congressmen. indira converted a democratic congress into a family congress. except for a few years after rajiv's assassination, congress has always been ruled dectatorially by the dynasty. no one in the party is allowed to even mildly criticise dynasty members for any of their mistakes. people should b aware of this. it is ruling at the center not bcoz it has mandate to do so, as it has only 145 members out of 540 in the lok sabha. not only that it has taken the help of leftists from wb, kerala and tripura against whom they fought in the elections. it is also taking the help of dmk, whom only a few years ago they criticised for being soft on ltte, rajiv's killers. it is also taking help of ncp, whose leader sharad pawar was thrown out of the congress, as he dared to raise his voice against the dynasty. so it is an opportunistic alliance.
in goa the political situation is always very fluid uncomparable with any other state in the country. hence there is lot of defection and mla r always ready to get sold at a price.
the situation can b improved only if in future goans refuge to vote for a person, to whichever party he may belong, who has defected from some party in the past for the sake of money and power only and not for some principled fight.

no party has absolute majority by itself ... even Beggers and Jokers Party ruled for the previous 5 years through coalition.
Forming coalitions and embracing enemies to save the nation from falling into the hands of communal BJP was the need of the hour.
Unlike BJP, Congress provides leadership and with best intentions.
congress party is a party for the dynasty of the dynasty and by the spineless congressmen. in 1967 indira chnged the character of the congress party form a democratic to autocratic one. no congressman can even mildly dare to criticise the dynasty. the spoken words of sonia, rahul, priyanka (and her small children) r the party laws.
