It is the history that a lady or a will never prefer another lady for the Constitutaional top post. Egos will come in between ladies. Once a lady became the President, she will not be such an obedient to the congress president. Instead she will prefer some male bend obedient like Pranab Mukharjee, Sushil Kumar Shinde. Or Left will pressurise Congress for Commrade Somnath Chatterjee. This will happen in the case of Dalit. Ms. Mayavati will never support for Sushil Kumar Shinde. Infact he is man to pay for the crucial victory of BSP in UP.

What Dr. Swami has written in his long eassy about Mrs. Sonia Gandhi is all rubbish. He and all his coteries giving reference to Hindutava.com must know today Mrs. Sonia Gandhi is a force to reckon with. In case there is any truth in Swami%u2019s version instead of wasting energy in writing so long article he must go to the court of law. They preach Hindutva without know what it means. Does it mean violence. Hindutva means peace. But when somebody is harassing and you fight against him, then it is not violence. It is self-defense which is what Shaheed Bhagat Singh said and that's right. But these people kill a few innocent Muslims and say they are fighting for Hindutva which is really wrong. Ram fought against the demons who use to harass people. Even Shivaji fought against the Mughals and Muslims because they were harassing the common people. I am not against preaching Hindutva. It is a great religion. But please don't preach Hindutva in a wrong way. Every religion is good, if a religion gives you peace and harmony.

In our democracy, no individual is important but constitution, being the supreme. Eligibility criteria, in the selection of candidate to a position, must be followed and he must be a person of integrity with such credentials qualifying him/her to be on the top of this Sovereign Republic, capable to drive the nation towards the cause our great late leaders envisaged pre and post independence about literacy, self-sufficiency, equality among all - moreover, who has the knowledge of the populace live right across the country in diverse culture and faiths, who has a will to take all together and get them acquainted with eachother as as to impart/share eachother, understand eachother - shall be eligible to become the President of India. Name of such a person should be acceptable to us. No matter who suggests it and whether it is Lady or Gents.

You are again bringing back the foreigner issue Mr. Kamal. You are ready to take favor of a foreigner, but not let a foreigner assume a power. You are proud to call Mother Teresa an Indian, You are proud to call Diana Hayden, an Indian for she won the Miss World contest. But you are again emphasizing Sonia Gandhi's foreign origin when it comes to assuming power. Remember Annie Beasant fought against the British. She was not an Indian.

Kamal, you are making a fair point. I am not comparing Sonia Gandhi with Mother Teresa. Mother Teresa was/is/will be God. My point is that stop talking of her foreign origin. I am not in favor of Sonia Gandhi, but I am against people who talk about her foreign origin. Criticize her as if you are criticizing a politician who is not doing his work properly but is an Indian. She has also made a lot of promises but hasn't fulfilled many.
