RE:RE:RE:all satan spoiling the growth of india

Rituals must be respected! Many so called learned people and hypocratic social reformers must have deeep understanding of rituals and values of a religion. They need to understand that there must be a place for culture & ritual of one region (community or country), there must be a place for culture & rituals of other ...there must be a place for fused culture too. Urdu has been a gr8 example of fusion of two cultures based on needs and acceptance. It didn\'t mean that Hindi and Parsi languages has been eradicated.

Keralite Muslims Drinks Alcohol
by $Ronaldo$ on Jun 07, 2007 10:18 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Muslims in Kerala have become a little modern now. I am talking about the new generation. I have seen them sitting and drinking Alochols etc. even though they may not enter a Hindu Temple. Eventually, they will allow Hindu's inside the Mosque as well.

Its not "your" problem---and if u consider that non-Christians shd not speak on Christian matters, what are you doing here commenting on an issue of Hindu temples

You have not ansered whether you would let a polytheist,idol-worshipper like me to visit the Holy of Holies, the Niche of the Pallium and the Necropolis

I never replied in this forum unless christianity is attacked unnecessarily. A poytheist, idol-worship and even ehiests are allowed in the church. No one will stop a person entering church and ask his religion. Because christianity is not only for christians but for all. When we would like to preach christianity to all how do you think that we will refuse to allow non-christians?

RE:Entry to religious places

Any one can enter the church. Because christianity is for all not only for christians. There is no purification procedure for non-christians. Becuase as per christianity no human has the right to judge whether someone is pure or impure. God only has the authority to judge. And in fact Jesus said that he was after sinners as they require more than others. Church is a place where one can enter, worship and pray God for purification of one's mind.

Guruvayoor Temple & all temples / religious places of worship.
by Ramdas Sambamurthy on Jun 07, 2007 10:17 AM  Permalink

Politicians, please keep your dirty hands off the sacred institutions & mind the business of running the country, which is your prime job. Temples have their own sacred & devine rules for the good of mankind which is beyond your understanding. Please do not pollute the sacred places like you have already polluted several institutions already. You have enough work & responsibility to keep you busy from morning till night. work is worship, if you don't know already. So worship your work & that will be worship to god.The priests who perform the rituals in the temples know their job well. do not corrupt their minds too.

RE:ENTRY NOT TO BE MADE TO NON HINDUS.....
by SR Hari on Jun 07, 2007 10:39 AM  Permalink
Well said. Why this hue and cry about entry into Hindu Temples? Sometime ago, it was about entry of women into Sabarimala Temple. Now the Guruvayoorappan Temple. As mentioned by Simon Borde, all these problems arise in India only and created by the Hindus (read Politicians)only. There are hundreds and thousands of temples which do not have entry restrictions for anybody. Why not these people visit such temples. When there are certain rules prescribed - be it in Sabarimala, Guruvayoorappan temple and in Mecca or anywhere, let us learn to respect and follow the same rather than arguing for the sake of publicity or political mileage. Is it a coincidence that problems for Hindu Temples are increasing only in the last couple of years? There weer attempts to spread Christianity on the Tirumala Temple of Lord Balaji. It is sad that Hindu Temples are facing problems in India as if we are in the Mughal era. There must be all round condemnation to such attempts by vested interests to disturb the religious sentiments of any religion.

entry of non-hindus inti temple
by Prasanth Nair on Jun 07, 2007 10:12 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

I have read the interview. To a large extend i support the views of tantri.Unless the law permits no non-hindus should be allowed in a temple as it is a sacred place of worship and not a tourist spot.As far as i know Ravikrishna is brought up as a hindu and believes in hinduism.Just because his mother is a christian how can we say that he is a non-hindu.In that case wont the temple authorities allow a european hindu(converted) to enter the temple and worship the diety just because he/she is born to a christian/muslim mother. Now regarding the law making about entry of nonhindus ,it should not be resticted to temples only but applicable to places of worship of all faiths in india. Will the so called pseudo-secularists dare to make such a law rather than imposing a law applicable only to vulnareble divided hindus? As far as i know the income from temples are taken by the govt. Why dont they do the same for churches/mosques/gurudwaras?Why such a partiality? If India is a secular country then all religions should be treated equally instead of giving special right to muslims/christians/sikhs/budhists in the name of minority.I am not a religious fanatic but deeply hurt by the way the law treats the majority population in india.

You have every right to say that govt. should not take money from temples, but you have no right to say that govt. should take money from other places of worship of other religions also.

I meant only that friend. But given the economic scenario the govt cannot stop taking money from temples. So the best option to ensure justice is take money from other faiths place of worship as well. After all it is good to take money for the development of our country rather than giving it to the hands of these so called protectors of religion who use it for their own benefit be it from christian/hindu or muslim. But if the government takes then it shud take from all faiths rather than targeting hindus only.Hope u understand my grievance.
