A very good approach to counter the monopoly of UPA, Communist Party vis a vis BJP in Indian Politics. Try to formulate the concept quickly to avoid further misgivings

politics of opportunism
by yatish kumar on Jun 06, 2007 06:25 PM  Permalink

A clear cut case of politics of opportunism. Now a days, when regional parties doing caste based politics have become stronger, alliance settings and not the good governance is the deciding factor in elections. That is the reason politicians in power do not bother of nation building. They concentrate in the number game of alliances and castes. Out electoral system has to change to Presidential form of Government.

All culprits and thiefs gathering againg to fool their respective states voters.
Once they kicked out of power main reason for corruption. Thief Queen Jayalalitha, Mulayam and thief King lallo and robary devi we can expect later in this looters fornt. Left will join with them deffintly if they have small chance of winning election.
Responsible Ntional parties Congress and BJP should take initiative to bring two party system in the country to save our nation from this bandits.

I agree with chrislim there should be two party system at Natioanl Level and multiparty at state level. If there is two party system at national level then India will be more strong and give more power to States. Giving more powers to states will means that regional parties will be restricted to their states only. We can not see people Like Mulyam , Lallo or Mayawati becoming Prime Minister. Prime Minister will be efficient there will be strong leadership. Which is realy need of today. And our dream of becoming super power will be remain dream.

BJP is against those who are anti India. If BJP could have been against muslims, they could not have nominated Dr Kalam as their presidential candidate. So, its not anti muslims. Yes, they do not follow the policy of appeasement like congress does. Congress only create a fear in the minds of muslims just to ensure a vote bank. All citizens of India are Indians and they should be treated at par. BJP does only that.

abolish all regional parties
by brahman on Jun 06, 2007 06:17 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

point to ponder:

abolish all regional parties and allow only 3 national parties (ruling, opposition, neutral). all these people will have to join either of the three national parties much in advance of the election and contest. once lost or gained, they cannot withdraw or change over to another national party for a period of 5 years.

Likewise, in every state, there can only be 3 regional parties (ruling, opposition, neutral) to contest the state elections, affiliating to either of the 3 national parties.

Like this we can have a choice of voting pattern and stability in government.

So many parties is in any election is the problem for stability. The voites gets divided and winning margin always low and you do not know who is real winner. Any step toward reducing this is good for the system

Congress and BJP should come togather
by Dr Thakur on Jun 06, 2007 06:16 PM  Permalink

The Third Time %u2018Third Front%u2019 (after NT Rama Rao, VP Singh) by Jaylalitaa is hardly going to have a JAYA(Victory)..not because many Zeros added result Zero but because the vote bank of anti-BJP, anti Congress, rationalistic outfits have equally bitter opponents of each.
Third Front should first decide whether they are anti-BJP or anti-Congress?
And BJP and Congress should decide they cannot remain anti to each other for long as their voter profile and economic policies and way to look at national problems are alike. Now that %u2018Congessiasation %u2018 of BJP has fully occurred and likewise so called %u2018communalization%u2019(if Hindu-bias is communalization) of Congress there is no problem in mutual understanding.
