Why naidu is going along
by Suresh on Jun 06, 2007 06:44 PM  Permalink

People might be wondering what is wrong with naidu for having teamed up with the likes of Mulayam and Jayalalithaa. There is a shrewd mind at work. Next eclection, TRS will make life hell for Congress in Andhra Pradesh. If you analyse the last election, if the TRS vote share is moved out of the Congress vote bucket, the Naidu and Congress would have ended equals. So Naidu has realised that he could play the role of an elder statesman and play local politics. Samajh me aaya ?

chandrababu naidu as PM
by kalyan ram on Jun 06, 2007 06:42 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

noooooo. for gods sake and farmers sake he should not be made PM. although he was an hardworker, he brings misfortune to the country if he becomes PM. under his 9 year rule in AP, there is no rain in AP. no water.and the harsh world bank measures implemented by him in AP only added to the miseries of farmers. as a result many farmers committed suicide and seperate telangana movement gained momentum under his rule. after congress came to power in AP, there are some rains and the situation is somewhat better for farmers now. dont forget he first came in to power in AP by bckstabbing his own father-in-law NTR.

Please check the meterological records and that of the Central Water Comission to realise that there was better rain under Naidu's rule. Anyway, what can individual do about rain. He is not a Guide like Dev Anand was.

And about sucuides by farmers, more farmers have killed themslves in the last three of Congress rule than the last nine years of Naidu's rule. This has been admitted by the present Agriculture Minister, Raghuveera Reddy.

Politics
by brahman on Jun 06, 2007 06:40 PM  Permalink

The educated mass and or the salaried/entrepreneural mass always gauge the success of a party by analysing the industrial/employment growth and the per capita income/GDP etc. In a democratic country like India, a politician who concentrate on industrial/financial growth of his state/country hardly get elected to the second term - the main reason being the choice of voters.

80% of the office goers and educated lot, who gain benefits out of industrialisation etc. do not vote.. and the votes are generated from uneducated, illeterate, economically backward, SC/ST/OBC and farmers.. A political party in power (the CM particularly) should not only concentrate on developing the infrastructure and industries, malls, shops and attract foreign investments, but also take up strongly the commitments given to the voters, particularly to the economically backward mass, agriculture, farmers, education, water facility, schools, hospitals, roads, communication to nook and corner, food grain supply, control the inflation etc.

The poor voters (being the category listed above), time and again fall pray to the election propoganda and assurances of the politicians and vote them to power... if one political party does not do good for them, then in the next election, they vote for the other...and if a third one emanates out of the blue and form another party, then votes also swing to that direction. this is what Indian politics...take votes from the poor (retain them poor always) and create weal
