Half of these fashion deisgners, DJs & Bollywood actors engage in drug use & peddling. So, Aqueel is no exception. Fardeen Khan, Sanju Baba, Mahesh Manjrekar, Aditya Pancholi, Sanjay Gupta .... the list is bigger.
Indian police is well aware of all this but they get caught when they cross the border. Indian police act only if they fall out of the favour of their Masters (political connections).
Aqeel is a "small fry". There are lot of big fish floating around merrily but police is blind-eyed.

You are forgetting Salil Chaturvedi and other Provogue guys, Farhan Azmi and his friend. A media baron was also there in the Provogue case but his name was not published else he publish stuff in his own chain of newspapers and mags. Such is his clout.
