it is better if there is no reservation, but due to vote bak politics, it cannot b wished away. It is surprising that gajars and meena r fighting so that they get maximum benefit from reservations. How selfish these people r. I think that we should adopt following procedure for the benefit of the really needy people in the country.
-provide reservation purely on economic ground, with provision of stringent punishment for anyone getting such reservation by providing wrong economic backwardness documentation -strictly enforce one child norm like china. increasing population is a bottleneck in providing enough to everyone. it is also responsible for global warming, which is going to cause lot of natural havoc in the world very soon, without discriminating on the basis of caste or religion. -start putting expenditure tax. this will reduce excessive expenditure by people, which causes heart burning in poor people and it also causes burning of oxygen gas in the atmosphere adding to global warming, about which i have written above.
THE ABOVE MEASURES WILL FACE RESISTANCE INITIALLY THERE MAY B SOME BLOODSHEDING ALSO. BUT IN THE LONG RUN THIS IS THE BEST SOLUTION TO THE HIGHLY DISCRIMINATORY RESERVATION POLICY, WHICH ALLOWS RICH PEOPLE ALSO TO GET RESERVATION, ONLY BCOZ THEY BELONG TO A PARTICULAR CASTE AND SOME POOR PEOPLE FROM THE SAME CASTE MAY ALSO NOT B GETTING THE BENEFIT OF RESERVATION BCOZ OF SUCH RICH AND HIGHLY SELFISH PERSONS GETTING THE BENEFIT OF RESERVATION.

"deserving" is a relative concept, not an absolute one. It' fair to compare 2 persons only if all of them got equal opportunity. It's unfair to compare one who could afford elite tuition clasess with the one who studied in the light of street-lamp. It's not just that, it goes beyond that. If you'r part of a well-to-do familty, very likely you'd have received coaching at home as well, as your parents are also educated. How can you compare such a person with the one who didn't have any of these luxuries, but in contrast had to study against all kinds of odds? It's absolutely unfair!!

Did you vote for BSP. Anand Iyer and Pramila every human is equally talents. Its not all forward class people are smart. Its quiet natural educated parents can bring up kids well than a uneducated.

Thanks to people like you, the process of caste-based ethnic cleansing all over India due to quotas, caste-based elections, shrinking water table and shortage of women due to widespread female infanticide has begun. I am sure that if any government stops CASTE-BASED reservations at this point, there will be all-India caste riots all over India!!! So no government can dare to stop caste-based reservations. So caste-based reservations will never go away as long as elections are fought on the basis of caste and as long as caste-based discrimination exists. Next volcano is the 200 Special Exploitation Zones (SEZ) for which organised Nandigram-type land grabs are going on all over India. India will be called a SWEEPERPOWER very soon. If reservations are stopped mass conversions to Islam will begin. Nobody can stop reservation.
It would appear that the Gujjar leader believes that reservations are his birth right. I guess it is but natural for him to think so, since many of his party colleagues think likewise. It is just political expediency that is fuelling this agitation. Nothing more. The videos on national TV are ample testimony of the fact that these people are there for the fun of it. What is worse is that most of the agitators appear well-off and are far from the starving tribals that they would have us believe. It makes a mockery of the reservation idea.
It is time to take cognizance of the Supreme Court's ruling and disband reservations once and for all.
That will go a long way in making our country a great place.
Nobody should be allowed to hold a country to ransom. And threats such as those suggested by some readers are most retrograde. How can they help a country?
We have far more serious issues to address than this game that politicians play.

Our constitution is of double standards at one place we talk equality amongst citizens and on other hand there is discrimination on cast lines.
Undeserving ST/SC people get jobs,admissions in colleges and deserving poor pandit and baniya are pulling rickshaw in Delhi.(80% of rickshaw pullers of Delhi are poor pandits from UP)
Thank god ,we don't have reservation in pvt sector.
Tear them apart if they demand reservation in private sector
Alternative-1 Reserve 100% jobs/seats for SC/ST/OBC and then declare every Indian as either SC or ST or OBC.
Alternative-2 Leave it to the States to decide what they wan't to do. States should enact their own law. Those companies do not like the laws of UP or TN can come to WB, Keral, Maharashtra or vice versa.
Alterantive -3 No reseravtion but positive affirmation. No reduced cut off mark or quaota. Only if a SC/ST/OBC cabdidate gets equal marks as a upper cast candidate then prefer the SC/ST/OBC candidate. The same rule applies for the econmically backward candidates also.
Alternative -4 Partition India again in cast and religious lines as was done 60 years ago and screw everybody.
My heart goes for Gujjar community and Meena community who have been oppressed. Give them reservation, please.
Had OBC quota worked for Gujjars, they wouldn't have asked for the ST Quota. If we give quota to Gujjar and Meena communities, then god willing they will own 100% iof the transport services in Delhi. That would be quite our achievement.

The whole point of this article is useless . The guy is a jerk and his claims are absurd . What I cannot understand , how these representatives pop up after each voilence . First thant Swami that popped up during the sikh riots and now this guy ? All this is politically motivated , When will rise above this is a million dollar question which we all need to answer unitedly

no it wont this time.ambedkar lived in a diffeent time. now karunanidhiji will give them reservation even if they become muslims! of course a small issue here-they have to migrate totamil nadu, leaRn tamil and fall at the feet of DR.KALAIGNER KARUNANIDHIJI.
Avtar Singh Bhadana should be arrested for being responisble person for damaging public assets. He or his organisation should pay back for all the losses. Demaging public assets are like damaging our own assets. Its Taxs payers money. Why can't Gujjar people and its leader go for a peaceful protest or hunger strike.
