Everywhere good nationalist politicians are there above caste,creed etc.,etc., If a politician is considered unanimously, nothing wrong.But he should be barred for fighting election.Fight means siding with the ruling party, not an unbiased candidate.
with somnath as president, the political class wants to curb supreme courts as supreme court is the only authority that is successfully challanging politicians unlawfull acts...
I think Man Mohan Singh wants Mr. Abdul kalam again for the top post. But Madam Sonia and Other congress politicians doesnt want him. I am a fan of Mr. Prime Minister man mohan and president.But Man mohan also doesnt have guts man. I think even our government is a coalition. but what the prime minister said they should listen to him

I think the post of the President is not required in the polity of India. So, whoever be the President, it doesn't yield any result in the context of Indian History. So, it is better, the post should be permanently abolished immediately and the cost incurred thus far for that post should be invested for the cause of benevolence of the citizens of our homeland.

PM should show some spine, he is being a Namesake PM and hasn't done justice to the post. I was really hopeful when he became the PM but very disappointed with the performance of this government. Disappointing budgets, reservation fiasco, slowed down the pace of infrastructure projects....... too bad
i think prez must always be a retired air chief,cheif of the navy or chief of army.What a waste of talent and guts as they retire at very young age and vanish in to the blue. even our scientists is a good idea.
The politician should never be the president of India.These dirty and corrupt politicians have already lowered the dignity of parliament.At least the dignity of president house be maintained by appointing non-politician.If politician is appointed,Sonia will give instructions to him and he will say let children of priyanka guide him in taking the right decision.
I only hope if both Vajpayee and Kalam were 30 years younger and could have held both the PM and [resident post. But alas we have all asses and people who will break India if required to keep their vote bank politices.
President should neither be a politician nor be an intellectual! As Cricket is the favorite game of many Indians, he should have the name of one of the current great cricketers. As BCCI is looking for a foreign coach, the candidate should have a foreign fiancee. It is better if he is related to Sonia, otherwise he should be an old (75-85 years of age) congress man. Search.
No doubt APJ Abdul Kalam is the right choice for the President's post but still I would go for a person who has guts to slam these cunning politicians, who can bring some changes in the present law of the land. We need a dashing leader. We need young blood.... fearless personality who can achieve things.

Ajit ji, Politician are front end . Actually we all who are more educated are cunning. This the real problem. Do you feel if we remove all politician than thing are going to improve. Do u feel IAS/ Judges/IPS r better?
Do you feel people in the field of art & culture, media r better. Industrialist r better?
Crisis is of charector. No effort has been made so far for character building.
There r still people who are with strong character in each political party. I donot want to name. Let us stand with them

Yes, student is good idea. We ahve to get rid of these Kunsat Buddha's who have grown up in 1950-80. This era has produced crooked citizens
