Politicians should not be allowed to hold sway over Public Opinion . Politicians now are generally a demoralised lot if not out right criminals .If they are given free hands they will install a criminal as President of IndIa. Are there no safe guards in our constitution to debar politicians to take such mischievous action ?
The president should certainly not be the politicians. if possible the prsident should be someone belonging to the cadre of APJ Abdul Kalam, if not him. the politicians if made the president they will be regulated by the political parties in passing the bills etc etc. the candidates like TN seshan could be also an ideal one. if their is anyone from WOMEN's side should come forward and everyone should support her provided she has all the capabilities for holding the highest chair of this mighty nation
If Kalam continues then it's best. Why is that politicians feels that onlya politicians should be president? I think Mulayam Singh Yadav will field a non-political person as President, which is Good for country....

none on earth can justify demand of these criminal politicians to go for a political president--somnathchaterjee---what credentials he has---only xing swords with judiciary and enjoying patronage of communists who r very well known for extortions negative trade unions destructions of development and above all duplicacy--enjoying bed with lalus congressmen at centre and abusing them in states.we must go for persons like apj kalam kiran bedi and many highly educated persons of our country but not THESE DIRTY POLITICIANS WHO FACED LAW ONCE OR REGULARLY---lalitkumar

Which was the previous height our country has reached? The Light Combat Aircraft or the Main Battle Tank?
Please understand that 50% of our people still defecate in the open air, but we can spend Rs 30,000 crores on buying new aircraft for Air India
No harm anyway, President in Indian system has no power, Parliament is the whole sole, anything passed by Parliament (Lok Sabha) president has to reply within 14 days. yes he can say or he can say think again, but if the Lok Sabha again sents it back to the president he just has to sign. He doesnot have the power to say no.
