Our political arena is filled with Criminals, anti-social elements and selfish people. At least we deserve to have men of character like Dr S. Radhakrishnan ,Dr A.P.J. Abdul Kalam to represent us among the comity of nations in the world,Whether he got a political back ground or not. A country whose heart is rooted in Sanathana dharma, simply, cannot accept a mean politician to represent Us. It is self insulting.
A politician is not fit to be a president. There are no reasons to justify his or her being anything other than a politician. Once a person becomes a politician, he becomes coloured and can take on any colour or school of thinking. He or she no more thinks independently. So, a politician should remain a politician and not try to become a President.
The President must be elected by the Public directly not by Politicians they are also elected by public. So for the highest post of Indian constitution it must be elected directly from the Public.

the problem is elections would be held and they become politicians!! the parties jump in to support each of the candidates. it becomes chaotic again. The present system is ok but the president should be someone like Kalam who has never been in politics.
No it should not be politician. Actually 99% politician are in politics for their personal needs only, they want money & mussel power. And also most of them are very corrupt. In my opinion president of India should be from defense, judiciary system, top rank IAS/Administrator etc with having no absurd remark on his whole career.
ForEver a politician should not be a President of India. He should be elected by a people of India, not by our bribing politician. The System of Electing an First citizen should be by a citizenzs of india.Election commission of India for electing President should be amended. The Reason is if politician supports, the President will be a documentory Reader not a Dynamic Ruler.
I don't believe that a non-political person can perform well over a political person as a president of India. The need of the hour is above the background of a person. We would definitely love to see a person who can represent us in the global front as well as encouraging the youngsters back at home to build a new India, where every body will have equal respect, irrespective of cast, creed and religion. So, if a person of political origin can do all these with a true spirit, as the present president has been doing over the past few years, then I would say welcome%u2026

I agree with you. Sonia Gandhi is the only one capable of all this.

If we elect Mdm Sonia Gandhi, we will be showing our eternal gratitude to her. She can then make Rahul Gandhi the Prime Minister. The future of this country will be assured.

Dear pickurproperty, please continue to pick property not presidents please. The sleepy joe, Gowda, if anything has kept his health intact and nothing else. He does not have anything else to maintain. I hope you appreciate. Neither brain nor honesty. He is already under a cloud. It will be a double catastrophe if he becomes a President too. He is just a simple good for nothing guy. Cannot maintain a relationship with his own kin. What image does he carry. He will look at real rockets and fire works with equal ignorance and say as a farmer he prefers digging the ground rather than reaching for the skies.
