Sensible Approach

Kudos to Lt Gen A S Sekhon. This is a sensible response from the General. Moderation is the solution to a majority of the problems. Being a Muslim, I would urge Mufti Bashiruddin to make a distinction between his opinions and that of the Indian Muslim community. Is this is his opinion, which I respectfully disagree, he needs to have the same standards and not take government subsidy when doing to Hajj. Personally, I am against the Hajj subsidy. Government's role needs to be at a bare minimum.

Good, government should never interfere in religious matters. Infact the very reason US is formed is because of the over interference of Church in state administration. Religion also should not interfere in governance, foreign policy. Let Christians manage churches, muslims manage mosques, hindus manage hindu temples. State should not have any bias/subsidy for any religion. Abolish the hindu-undivided family act as well, cut off Haj, Scrap the Endownment Act.
