valayar ravi is at best confused
by ravi kumar on Jun 05, 2007 08:38 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Rediff has done a bad job on the title, which it is known for sensationalizing. He has not been able to come clean on his wife. I think she is a practicing christian. Being present in pooja she might be just respecting sentimentality of ravi. And we can see how sentimental ravi is after all. Why only Rules are rules. But But But human sentiments are paramount and they should be respected. A middle path has to be found.

Once a christian always a christian. Mercy can find solace in Christ only. None of these smelly temples can be of any help to her.

Do you think Mr Sharp head that it is in Islam that it is told to kill Kaafirs?
No it is a verse in the qur'an which is always taken out of context by Islam-bashers. The verse in the qur'an which speaks about the killing of unbelievers is about the treaty of Mecca which was broken by the ignorant tribes of mecca and then they were given an ultimatum to come back to the rteraty or face war...In war the muslims were ordered to kill these people if they were found ...BUT DEAR BROTHER WHY DONT YOU GO ON TO THE NEXT VERSE OF THE QUR'AN AND SEE WHAT THAT SAYS?It says if these people want peace give them peace and ACCOMPANY THEM TO A PLACE OF SAFETY AND SECURITY FOR THEM (Qur'an Chapter Tauba Verses1-8)
Now come on Brothers sharp head and shriram Did KRISHNA NOT URGE Arjun to go ahead and fight his cousins? did that mean that all hindus should kill his cousins??? No it was a fight between right and wrong. I would be wrong to say anything of this sort about Krishna's advice to Arjun when he felt like dying unarmed on the battlefield rather than fighting his own cousins..THAT WOULD BE OUT OF CONNTEXT ON MY PART & A grave sin if I were to say such a thing....Similarly Try to understand what the Qur'an and the Prophet's teachings say..NOT WHAT A FEW MUSLIMS DO

purification

Yes. I fully agree with Kalyan. Whenever a politician, especially from the secular brigade visit any temple, purification should be done immediately. They leave behind a stink that envolops the whole country.

Dear modak bhai, don't qoute mahabharatha out of context. Krishna never asked arjun to kill innocents in the name of hiduism. It was a war out there, between brothers. But that doesn't permit muslims to day to kill innocents in the name of islam - or jihad? Just check how many fatwas were issued when innocents were killed by terrorists or howmany ppl were excommunicated when the killer turned out to be a muslim

I really agree with SriRam as these people get married to converted christains for monetory or other benefits and say they are secular and that they are still Hindus!. Is this all not a trash? considering Mr.Ravi's political background can we beleive this? Is he not making efforts not to loose his votes in his caste which strongly protects its culture? And above all can a Roman Catholic women who marries a Hindu(for a purpose)keeps quiet by not Baptising her children, the very purpose of marrying a Hindu ? Why blame Brahmins who are protecting the Hindu religion from being polluted by the christians(converted!). If at all he wants let him protect gullible and poor Hindus from being converted. Instead of playing the BC card let him strive to protect his community from being exploited by the christian missionaries and i thin it is impossible ,because he is in Congress headed by a ...? we all know who.

purification for all politicians
by kalyan ram on Jun 05, 2007 08:16 AM  Permalink

the purification should be done in all temples in india whenever a politician visits any of the temple including tirupati and guruvatur. we should not forgeet the larger issue here. the actual and most important purification should be done in the world's largest temple of democracy "parliament of india". yes the indian parliament should be purified from dirty politicians.in an era where even tirupati priests stops ordinary devotees just to give VVIP's darshan, the guruvayur temple priests scuttling of VVIP's arrogance is indeed commendable.

change the head-title
by Trivikram Singaraju on Jun 05, 2007 08:11 AM  Permalink

the headline you have used is very provocative. when there are so many things said by mr.ravi, it is bad reporting to create interest by sensationalising controversial lines and having them as the headings for your article. From next time, in the interest of larger good, come up with more sensible headings and convey what ever you want to convey in the body of the article.

Arrogance?
by sakar panch on Jun 05, 2007 08:09 AM  Permalink

Let us not forget that three decades back a famous Singer's son was refused baptism by Kerala Church because the Singer though a Christian had sung songs in praise of Hindu God.

Why make a hue and cry now?

COME TO ISLAM
by Vasim Modak on Jun 05, 2007 08:04 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Mr Kafir Ahmed seems to suggest that we humans are perfect enough to decide what is good for us and what is bad for us!!
If this had been true then why would any law or constitution formulated by humans in any part of the world have to have amendment upon amendment to make corrections to plug loopholes???
Who knows more about any machine better than the one who has designed and created it in the first place? The best guide can thus be given by the one who has made that machine/ appliance. Anyone else would surely be inept & inadequate to in that task. Time and tide has proven that the world has been created by THE ONLY ONE CREATOR. It has also been proven and reprted NOT BY MUSLIMS BUT BY NON-MUSLIM SCHOLARS THAT THE QUR'AN IS A WORD OF GOD. Hence it is only suitable to say that the best constitution for the entire world is The Qur'an & the best way to the ART OF LIVING is ISLAM because it is the guidance from THE ONLY ONE CREATOR TO HIS BEST CREATION I.E. HUMANS WHICH HE HAS CREATED FROM A SINGLE PAIR & then increased then in numbers & divided them into multiple tribes so that they could recognise each other (AND NOT DESPISE OR BELITTLE EACH OTHER ON THE BASIS OF CASTE OR COLOUR OR RICHES).
The lone criterion in the eyes of ALLAH to judge people is "Taqwa" God conciousness Noone is superior to another on the basis of colour, race or anything else--- This was clarified by the Prophet Muhammad PBUH in his farewell sermon.
SO DEAR BROTHERS COME TO ISLAM AND THUS TO SUCCESS

Hello Vasim

Here people belongs to other religions are not allowed to visit mosques.
Sunnys, shias ,sufys are regularly confronting with each other.
What is the scientific proof of those words from God?
Are the Non Muslim scholars have any rational thinking ?
Majority African Muslims Are suffering without food. But millions of rupees are spending for So Called "Jehad".
What is the Solution for them?
No Religion will save the people From their problems.
Only wisdom,Education, use of knowledge is solution for the Problems.
Think Rationally,Win Gloriously
