My all symphaties to Sanjay as a wonderful actor and nice human being. One can consider this while giving the punishment. But the kind of crime he has done, message must go. I feel honorable judge has just done that. He was awared a symbolic punishment of 6 years to send the message to larger public. Sanjay has to stay in jail for some more time may not be complete 6 years (or after deducting 16 months)

I feel he will be pardoned at higher court looking into his/ his family relations with congress; but not before few years.

All this tokenism
by Devil Said on Aug 01, 2007 09:34 AM  Permalink

Look a certain Sibu Soren and how the administration is bending backward to accomodate his fancies. No fan and No toilets .... we are taking it for granted that this Soren guy will be having AC, TV, Refrigirator and all other material comfort without being anybody talking about that.

The news of UP Prison DG breaking a fish pond by Mukthar Ansari, build ostensibly inside the jail compund to supply fresh fish to him and his cronies. Do we raise an eyebrow.

The difference between them and Sanjay Dutt is the later is a self made guy who had not rose to become a celebrity by manupulating the system and allowing him no fan and no bad is a news leaked by the govt to make us sure that everything is hunky dowry in India.

But we are all very well aware that this is just true for ordinary citizens who can not manupulate the system because they are far too busy in their profession to learn that.

Delhi demolition...the buildings who burnt the ire are MG1/2, with high profile fashion professionals as tenents, the govt dare not invoke the same provisions for a certain Mahipalpur politician who is sitting pretty with his construction right on the road.

Rediff at least can do something to cover this stories and just carrying govt propaganda done not mean much.

Sanjay Dutt is a Hindu follower but had all muslim friends (may be because he was born to a Muslim mother) and he is paying for all that.

Mr YOU, if you want to survive with some dignity in life and believe that your life shouldn't ruin into a tragedy and also since you are answerable to god, Please stay away from Muslims.

Sameer Bhagwat, When did you convert to Hinduism (from Islam). Dare to put your identity , Sri Krishna Comission is formed by a 3rd rated Lawyer with no job in hand. 99% of criminals are muslims and you don't need to prove anything to public.

Indian law

I will not be surprised if Sunjay Dutt gets a stay from supreme court in this case and he is free again making a mockery of Indian Justice system.

The day will not be far off when our LLB question papers will have a choice of different answers for the same question.

pPl. don't blame the judges now. Do u want to say if Sanjay Dutt was left scot free and others led to the gallows that would be justice ? You people r just ass. If Judges do not do their work they are cheats and if they do they want to gain publicity. Can u understand under what pressure must these judges be? Hats off to judiciary and specially Justice Kode for being fair and upholding the law of the land. U rich people want everything to be done in ur favour. Time is running out for u . Get ur act together and behave.
Yes, I agree with u that same sincerity and honesty of justice should be done with all corrupt pliticians , infact more severe and drastic. Everybody will agree. Hope the day is not far away now. I sympathise with Dutt but not with his acts.

Media Should be much more responsible
by Hemanth Kumar on Aug 01, 2007 09:20 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Its really Stupid to see such news articles %u201C No Fan , No Bedsheet and Common Toilets%u201D there are thousands of folks I that prison .Why worry only for sanjay dutt alone .We should understand that he went against the law so he deserves what he has got .Atleast we should be happy that Law does this for one or two cases .Guys in media should spend their time much more sensiable instead of doing such articles . It would have worthy if there was a general article on current state of prisoners in India jails or how to bring in betterment instead of such stupid stuff.

I am with you. We can talk about prison facility improvement in a different forum. Sanjay Dutt had enough fun with AK56, Pistol etc. Now it is time to pay.

While reading the comments in this forum, I came across yours which touched me and I could not help myself against appreciating your ideas. Regardless of who he is, before law he should be one subject. I appreciate if the law is in force all times.

You posted this response after reading this article. Media is interested in this and not what Sanjay Dutt gets.

Do you think that you would have read the article titled "Current State of Prisoners in India"?

I think we are going too emotional into Mr.Dutt's arrest. He definatively deserves punishment for what ever he has done and that has been proved. Mr Dutt 15 years ago shuold have known what is bad and good. He is no toddler. No body is above the all
