Sanjay Dutt's verdict
by Natasha Walke on Aug 01, 2007 10:16 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Its now high time that Indian Laws need to be reformed. We punish culprits if they are a threat to society and when they are hard core criminals. Sanjay Dutt is neither.

He has committed a mistake for which he has suffered and spent 16 months in jail. This is unjustice done to him. Law has unnecessarily punished him for what he has already suffered. We put prisoners in jail with an intention to reform them. Sanjay is no threat to society and he has already repented for his mistake committed.

Payal Mehra, don't be a hero worshipper..think practically and logically, Ranjit is right. Would you behave in the same manner if your sibiling had been a victim of the 93 blasts??

Its evident u dont care much abt democracy or rule of law.Ranjit has the right to express his opinion ---u have no right to ask him to shut up
And it was a due process of law which convicted Sanjay.Yr wishes cannot make the Public prosecutor a criminal

May b teh correct place for u is Pakistanh---both these qualities are in demand there !!

how come MadhukarSarpotdar, named in the same investigation that threw up Sanjay Dutt's name, by the same people who named Sanjay Dutt, has never been tried......just because he belonged to the shiv sena who were in power at the time...the point of jailing a person is because he is a danger to society, which dutt is not... he should be fined heavily such and be made to do compulsory community service instead

I agree! Madhukar Sarpotdar of the Shive Sena was caught in the middle of a curfew with a jeep full of sophisticated arms and ammunition at the height of the Mumbai riots in 1992. He later became an MP...!! Such is the law of the land...

since law is different for hindus and muslims, madhukar should not be sentenced.he is patriot fighting muslim terrorists.muslim terrorists tried to kill innocent and they have colaborated foreign powers to do this, their punishment is just.
