Like all of you i am a big SD fan as well. But we have to be open minded to the fact that thereis Sanjay Dutt the actor and Sanjay Dutt the human.
As an actor he was great, good movies, great roles, superb acting,
As a human being, womanizer, drug addict, drunk, multiple addictions, not a good father, not a good son, and last but not least an accomplice to terrorism in 1993. these are the facts, the movies that bring us joy and hapiness paint a picture as him being an ideal indian citizen.
This is not true,
He received his credit by audiences for his performances,
The judicial system gave him what he deserved for his role in 1993 riots. He was proven guilty by more than probable cause.
He has a human being - bad, bad, bad, so please try and differenticiate the two Sanjay Dutt portrayals that are there.
The indian court system has finally shown its credibilty in regards to criminals. In USA if you are rich/actor you get away with murder as we have all seen.
Not the case in India, i applaud the Indian justice system for its decision in putting Sanjay Dutt in jail, and am glad to see that corruption was the road as it always is in such institutions.
i am sad because i still want to see Munna Bhai come to America, not sure what will come of that.

dont get emotional about this..look at this as a political drama..they have no guts to nab Dawood..the real perpretrator of the crime..they have a netted a small fish called Sanjay dutt...coz that gives them maximum political mileage...it is as simple as that...as for sanjay he reaped what he sowed..sorry about that!

anu malik,kumar sanu and group had performed at a musical nite for dawoods brothers wedding in dubai..anil kapoor was there..shah rukh khan and salman have been in touch with chotta shakeel till recently..!!
Sanjay dutt had done the crime without knowing the consequences. Even though he is grown up, mentally he is kid. He has to bear the pain no other way. Now atleast bollywood stars will hesitate to go to hi profile parties in middle east and bring hafty gadgets.

Sanjay got guns in his house to protect his father Sunil Dutt who was sheltering riot affected Muslims. Sunil Dutt was target of Shiv Saniks ire as they pointed out why Sunil Dutt was helping only Muslims and not Hindus. Probably because Muslims were Sunil Dutt's vote banks and he was taking care of them. Unfortunately for Sanjay he got caught in the web and rest as they say is history. The Dutt family may claim that Sunil Dutt did not know about the guns in his house but it is hard to believe especially when some one like Abu Salem visited their house a few time.Sanjay may not be innocent but it appears his family especially his father did not help his cause.

everything said and done...if you cant do the time, dont do the crime. why are people in India overreacting to this. I think the Indian judicial system has done it job. IF SD was released thn people would complain about our system by saying.."if you are rich and famous, you can get away with anything"....being an Indian I have heard this so many times...but times have changed and justice is equal to all. WELL DONE INDIA!
