TADA Judge Kode :Good judgement
by sanjay kumar on Jul 31, 2007 06:58 PM  Permalink

By giving actor Sanjay Dutt appropriate punishment, the judge maintained the high standard of Indian judiciary.
It would have been very tough to deal with harden crimininals and their polished advocates. Isn't it?
Good work, very good work.

We need some more tougher than this person..
No question he is given right judgment which is really appreciable, but i think if we want india to be super-power there should be some one taking extra-ordinary decision taker>> to deal with corruption, population problem, NEIGHBOUR problem and much more

I am very impressed about the article and performance of TADA judge, why Government should not think of appointing as Cheif Justice of Supreme Court.

Great Judgement
by jayaram on Jul 31, 2007 06:29 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Respected Sir,
its great to know that there r sincere people 2 uphold the law of the land. In fact many of the middle class people like us think that the courts r just play grounds for these film stars and rich big shots, u have proved that The law is above everyone. This judgement has restored my faith in the law. I have great respect for the law and hope everyone reespects judges like these .. who give us hope that " Satyameva Jayate".
I have nothig against Mr Sanjay dutt, i do feel sad for him when i c him on TV, but sadly he has committed these crimes which has caused great harm to the city of mumbai, so just because he ahs played a good guy's role in Munna bhai movie he doesnt deserve 2 be let off !! We Indians should stop idolizing a star just because he did a "good guy" character in a movie ..they r entertainers and nothing more ! Neither r they role models nor r they worth emulating. THE PEOPLE WHO SHOULD BE OUR ROLE MODELS R The former President APJ Kalam, Judge Kode and those hard working professionals who have made this country proud.

every judge in India is not Sh.Pramod Dattaram Kode. He is himself the rarest of rarest judge who has sense of duty and human just face, otherwise fact remains that most of the judges are shameless and face less. All the Indians should pray to Almighty, for a judicial setup where persons like Mr. Kode are not rare.

Sentence to Sanjay Dutt
by govind dujari on Jul 31, 2007 06:27 PM  Permalink

There is no doubt the case was very complicated and involved too much to go through for justice Kode. But it was not the fault of more than 100 accused who had to go through 14 years of severe mental torture. They all must have gone under deep depression with the Damocles Sword hanging over their heads. Was it not %u201Cextra%u201D punishment than what they rightly received from the TADA Court according to law? This case has become a wake-up call for the judicial system to ponder if some time, say one month, per year should be remitted from the sentence if the accused suffers agony like this for an unusual period. For illustration, Sanjay Dutt and other accused could have been given concession of 14 months for 14 years of waiting for the late delivery of the judgment for none of their faults. Another example, Sanjay Dutt could have started life afresh had he been awarded the sentence at the age of 35 years or so. He could not marry because of the uncertainty of his fate. But now he (48 years) will come out of the jail at the age of 54. These are the compassionate and humanitarian grounds that cannot be neglected just because they were involved in %u201993 blasts. Justice has its softer side also.
