Trial is a dissapointment for the whole nation
by Jaganath Bharat on Aug 01, 2007 03:45 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

This trial is a sham. True justice would be to send undercover group of commando's and secret operatives to search and destroy D.Ibrahim. Instead the soft and more easily available co-operative, and relatively innocent people like Dutt are being used as exemplary scape-goats. This trial is a political ploy to hide national weakness in bringing the real crooks to justice. How impotent also is the system in bringing any genuine accomplices of Ibrahim, like Pakistani PM to justice. He refused to extradite the hard-core criminal. Justice is not done, dirty politics is done.

Sanjay Dutt - Crime & Punishment
by M Kamal on Aug 01, 2007 01:37 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Well I was going through all the posts / messages... found some Pro... some Anti.... But somehow in each of them I could feel a bais. Why ?????

Please think...

1 ) How is the Muslim angle involved in this perticular judgement ?

2 ) Do any terrorist have a religion ? Their activities hurt everyone ? Why do we always forget that ?

3 ) For 12 long years Sanjay has suffured by having the TADA charge upon them, where as initially itself after police investigations they should have been booked under arms act.

4 ) Was it only Sanjay Dutt who used to attend parties hosted by gangsters ? If my memory serves me right every film star used to be there in those days.

5 ) Last but not the least laws are made to decipline people and punishments to reform and deter, but not to destroy life. I would have appriciated if a community service judgement would have been delivered. Its a know fact that jails are breeding ground for criminals.

I wish my countrymen start thinking in terms that WE are INDIANS ONLY..... Not MUSLIMS.... Not HINDUS.... Not CHRISTIANS.... We are INDIANS first.... Religion is a personal choice, There are criminals in every religion but do they have a religion ? Do they follow GOD ?

Dear Kamal

True 100% agree to you we are Indians only Not MUSLIMS.... Not HINDUS.... Not CHRISTIANS....

Then why the hell in this country they have Muslim Law. Why do they Give subsidy to HAJ Pilgrims.

Why do they have Madrasa.

Please clear all this. RSS Says that if all this cleared we will dissolve RSS. It is no more needed in this country.

Hindus would undertake family planning and what a paradox it would not be applicable to muslims.

Let us bring a Law All Indians only.....as you mention should undergo Family Planing operation after the First child. This is purely in the interest of INDIA. Let us see who would revolt for this first.

Well my dear friend... There is a Muslim Law and a Hindu Law too.... If subsidy is given to Haj Pilgrims... there are other subsidies / benefits doled out to other communities.

Madrasa was supposed to be a place for religious education... not to prepare / train people for creating terror. What stops the Government from banning these "terror houses" ??? Politics!!!!!

And its not that only HINDUS are accepting family planning and Muslims not..... Please check the stats.... Acceptance of family planning is more a social issue.... more to do with education than religion. By the way I am the only son of a Muslim family.

I would request you to open your eyes and make an informed choice.... the British ruled this land with a divide and rule policy.... Now too nothing has changed...

The politicians have only one ambition.... that is to reach the corridors of power and reap the benefits by hook or crook. Reaching there has many ways... A secular way.... A Hindu way.... A Muslim way.... A Communist way.....

Given a choice I will prefer a uniform law through out the country..... Lower taxes.... Higher Standard of living.... Better Medicare..... No subsidies.... No Reservations..... A law with a human touch.... But who will rebel ???? Who will fight.... Who will change..... Not Me and You but these same politicians in whose words you are so swayed.... They have the means to get people on the road... They have the money to mobilize and finance an agitation.... Not You and

Not Me and You but these same politicians in whose words you are so swayed.... They have the means to get people on the road... They have the money to mobilize and finance an agitation.... Not You and Me my dear because we are too busy trying to make our two ends meet. The best we can do is give a little time to post like this.

I want to sleep and wake up one day in my country where
" My head is held high and the mind is without fear " till then I can just hope and dream.

These are the words of the judge
"I must say that for every citizen, the laws of the nation shall be respected. If you don't, I don't expect you to be called a moral person," Kode said.

Kode also observed it was an "eminently dangerous act" as the weapon possessed by Dutt was capable of mass destruction though the accused had not used the weapons.

Dutt acquired the weapons to "protect" his family in the aftermath of sectarian violence that erupted in Mumbai following the demolition of the babri mosque in late 1992.

How could a person get AK-47 to safeguard his family. Does that mean that his family is superior than the 100 crore amilies in India. This is a pure lying and he should have been granted much more sterner punishment.

Will Law Minister assure Nation of identical JUSTICE, but with mere three months for every disposal?
by Gautam nil on Jul 31, 2007 09:36 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

I congratulate Justice Shri. Kode for his meticulous judgment! He has taken much pains to go through minute details of such a voluminous and serious case! His power of precision in assessment and decision are extremely admirable! His judgment will stand conspicuous, glittering in the annals of justice of the Nation! He deserves a pat on his back by the people of India! Will the Government be honest to promote immediately to a higher post and place him to ensure he is more useful in awarding similar outstanding judgments of the Nation?
I cannot leave another excellent services of Shri Nikam, the public prosecutor, without mention, who conducted the case very meticulously to strengthen the hands of justice by his over working and excellent understanding of the case to interpret aptly! He deserves people's admiration and appreciation! Government should better utilize his services at a higher post!

hmmm.. kode is here to judge on the blasts; not on why it was caused. if you look at the bombings as a revenge to riots, one could put forward a riot that happened previously as the reason. as gandhi said, an eye for an eye makes the world blind.
we have to stop taking revenge sometime on each other. hope someone is listening!

Blasts caused be riots? So if you go into cause-effect lets see...what should be the effect of the invasion of india by muslims and the atrocities of mughals? do you know 80 million hindus were killed in hindu-kush, afganistan? so what should be the effect of this massacre? Also in current scenario remember that iraq war is caused by sep 11...its perfectly justified...so dont protest it.

Last but the least, the investigations under the leadership of former commissioner of Police of Bombay, Shri Samra and his subordinates like shri M.K. Singh, a former Commissioner of Police of Bombay etc., was excellent! Police have shown that they were capable of producing excellent results by meticulous investigation! Pat to them. IThe people of the Nation will not hesitate to recommend and plead for bringing these retired officials to suitable higher posts to utilize their most incredible talents with unyielding natures to pressures! Though, subsequently , C.B.I. did a good job, certainly it was a wrong decision to change over investigation to C.B.I., in the later stage, when local police did an excellent job! This is an example of perfect wrong decision for which the concerned authority and political force should be identified and penalized due to which the case had to be unnecessarily dragged for more years, increasing expenditure too.
This is a case of excellence in all spheres like judiciary, prosecution and investigation! The entire team deserves congratulations and suitable awards which may encourage other future machineries of justice!
However, state and Union Governments cannot be spared if they are not able to bring more serious and the pivotal criminals in this case to justice early as they lost much of the time already! Should the Governments be punished for their failures by the people?
