Regained Faith
by Arpan Sengupta on Jul 31, 2007 03:35 PM  Permalink

The verdict has almost regained my faith in Democracy and Judiciary system in India. Hopefully in future cases it will not take such a prolonged course.Only pray that similar sentence awaits Salman Khan's fate too.

Justice ?
by Patriot on Jul 31, 2007 03:35 PM  Permalink

Sanju has been jailed for 6 years.. OK. But then what about Tiger Memon and Dawood .. What punishment/judgment is he going to mete out to them ? Or just because they are in Pakistan and we have not been able to catch them, these shall not be proclaimed as offenders or sentenced to death ? Because till these 2 are proclaimed as international terrorists and to be shot at sight or hanged to deaththe cause of justice will never be served..

sentencing of Dutt
by Suresh Rajendran on Jul 31, 2007 03:34 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

There is lots of story going around about the sentencing of sanjay dutt. People now talk about action not being taken on Krishna Commission Report and comparing the same with the present sentencing of the bollywood star. But this has nothing to do with present verdicts. Simultaneoulsy, it is the government duty to pursue the Krishna Commission Report and bring the perpetators of such henious crime - mostly siva sainiks, before justice and that only will uplift the faith of people in our democratic system.

About Sanjay's sentencing, he deserves of what he received. There was strong evidence for his criminal act and thus he deserves punishment. He cannot escape from the law under the banner of 'STar actor'. In all, it is Justice P D Khode is the hero of this entire proceedings, who uplifted the faith of people, especially poor and downtroden, in our criminal justice system. We salute him with respect.
