my view
by baby chut on Jul 31, 2007 06:41 PM  Permalink

I too feel for him as many love his movies and he acts well also. But then the law has to be respected. It has been noted that some of his acts were "eminently dangerous" and showed a "high element of criminality." He was not only in illegal possession of a 9mm pistol and an AK-56 rifle, but acquitted of more serious charges under the anti-terror TADA law. And the weapons possessed by him were capable of mass destruction though he had not used them and also told three others to commit criminal acts on his behalf. And moreover he was mature when he committed these offences. Who knows, he as an actor was being used so that no one will doubt him but then he (Sanjay) was aware of this. Bail should be not given at all for such crimes, in fact he has escaped life imprisonment for all these acts. Thank Almighty for that. One think they could allow him a year%u2019s time to complete his films on a condition that he signs the register once a week at a nearby police station he resides. And he spends half of his time during the year on some chartitable organizations, helping them in their jobs, seeing their difficulties, and using his muscle power for some good cause in the nation too. And then he could continue imprisonment. Once in prison he should be allowed once a week to continue some noble job in the country. I don%u2019t know but this is my view as in the prison definitely they will not give him any work to do and in fact in these 5 years all he will do there is get extra mu

i agree that the Indian Courts hav efinally started making the decision correctly...we should also congratulate the policement who have traced the cuprits which are more then 100 of them.... but a a verdict like Sanjay Dutt should not hae been given a harsh sentence of 6 years.... he has evolved and changed as a person and an actor. The court should reconsider its decision....

sanjay dutt
by irfan Ahmed on Jul 31, 2007 06:32 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Its good that the Court has atlast succeeded in punishing the culprits. At the same time, it shows how pathetic, shameful our legal system is. In Dutt's case, the judge Kode has asked Dutt to go for a higher court. If thatz the case, then what is the need of the High Court? Do we really need these so called "High Courts" when the Judges themselves are directing the culprits....!!! Its a shame to the nation!!

Good Decision
by avneet jassal on Jul 31, 2007 06:30 PM  Permalink

I think this is a great decision. This had shown that rules and regulation are one for all. It is not softened if you are good actor. Might be you are good person but at the time of commiting a crime you acted like a criminal.
The decision should be a learning for those who think that the money and reputation they have can save them from law. Might be it take time but Justice Prevails
A late but definately good deceision
I am looking forward to the court for the other decisions of high profile person, they should also punished accordingly.
