Before debating whether the judgement was harsh or not, it is important to note whether Dutt was guilty or not. Consider the following, of the 100 accused, 12 have received death penalty for their role the conspiracy, while the rest have been handed punishments, that wary from a few years to lifetime. And most of the accused were not even aware of the gravity of their offence, take the case of the people who helped in unloading RDX. For them, it was another contraband and yet, their lives have been devastated.
In the light of this, it is a pity that we all are talking about Dutt, while completely forgetting about all those who have been accused as well. Forget not, that Dutt is an educated person, who had all the contacts in the administration and everything that calls a comfortable life, and yet he was not only in touch with the perpetrators but in connivance with them. How in the world can it be justified? Even after that, can one forget that numerous tapes with underworld that have been in the news, it is evident that he has been in constant touch with all those Bhais and Behens (bhai chikna bahut natak kar raha hain) who orchestrated the bomb attacks.
By arguing so, it proves that we Indians are inherently weak and gullible, getting carried away by sob stories in newspapers. Dutt is no saint, he needs to pay for his crimes like everyone else. In fact, with 6 years, he has got away much lightly. I just wish that he atleast stays for 6, because he will be supported

Lets all agree to one thing, Indian law is supreme and should be the same for a laborer who unloaded RDX to Dutt who asked for these AK 47s. If US courts can sentence Paris Hilton for such a petty offence, Dutt is just too licky. How I wish Indian media would stop showing those sympathetic sob stories%u2026.In the end he got what he deserved..Wish were more like Justice Kode around, so you would not rich people like Salman Khan and Alistair Periera who think that law is merely a floozy to be played around with.
So please fellow Indians be strong and unsympathetic, do not get carried away by emotions%u2026Lets call a spade a spade and an offender a offender%u2026.

Well Said Shashwat... apne Muslim Bhahi pathdo ise agar pathana atta hey to.
I'm sure everyone including the judge agrees he is a changed man now. Then why are so harsh on him. Punishment is given to a person to change him to good human being. I now feel that he was almost walking in senior dutt foot steps and court should be a bit more linient on him. When he was doing wrong thing he was walking free now when he has changed he has to go to jail this is bad. Instead the punishment should be such that he is required to do some social work which is well monitored so that it is not left just in words. I by writing this would like every right thinking citizens to come forward and build a public opinion for sanju. Though I personally do not know him still I will pray something good happens for him.

mr madhusudan, if tommorrow MR dawood IBrahim comes and kills ur family and then after 10 years he is changed man....will you still say all this for him as well.... ur a typical sobbing indian..who is big emotional fool....nothign else...u dun undertsand law....then why say india is currpot and law is for high end people..why...wno public opinion for dutt...remember this....only few crappy idiots will side by this thought that lets support dutt....no way ....if he gets scott free..then i think every criminal in india shud be set free....

Often we read in newspaper, somebody, a coomon guy (no celebrity) who did crime 15-20 yrs, get nabbed by police and subsequently gets imprisonment. In that case, do you offer sympathy to him. In simple words, if this person was having name like Sanjay kumar, Sanjay Sharma, Sanjay Pandit etc etc, you wouldn't have defended him
Ask any of he bollywood ppl...u will get the answer that Sanju n Sallu r the greatest human being..as they do good things n never show off.. I am With U Sanju

I think, you are reading stardust, filmfare only. how came you forget abt incidence where salman crushed people on footpath, how he shooted chinkara dear in rajsthan..open your eyes, Try to read newspapers not filmi magazines. you will come to know they are much ordinary human beings
just imagine.....the lady who disposed the gun for sanjay dutt was given life sentence and sanjay dutt gets away with just 6 years......cool.....have money...power will get away
This is not correct decision....Instead of Sanjay Dutt, if there was a polititian, then he will not get such verdict? What action Govt. will take next? are they going to caught Dawood, Gangsters.....they were the real persons who planned & done bomb-blast...when they will see the prison. Govt. is just showing the prison to juniors...we want that Dawood should get prison...then only we can say it is the correct verdict....till not

Dawood is a fugitive, a dangerous terrorist committed crime against humanity and will continue to do so, whereas Sanjay is probably changed for good, but he should be sentenced for all the crimes, salman khan should be next in the line....
Dont talk about jailing Thackeray & Modi. Think of hanging Dawood first. Dont be communist and biased, be just & fair, how are the poor leaders responsible for deeds of don aided dogs.
