Sanjay's Sentence
by HariOm Chawla on Jul 31, 2007 09:09 PM  Permalink

I am very sad at Sanjay's six years sentence. Sanjay has got punishment in liue of crimes committed more than thirteen years ago. Now he is a changed man, basically a good person loved by all.

It is said that law must take its own course. But does law 'takes its own course' in case of all offenders? Do all the criminals get punished? Definitely not. A large number of persons who have committed more henious crimes are roaming free because cases against them were not investigated properly and cound not be proved in the Court of Law. There are others including large number of politicians agianst whom several cases keep pending for ever, but no result takes place.

Whenever an accused gets punishment, we all say justice has been done. But why only that person? Did he just had bad luck? Because there are lots of others who roam scot free. Why?

Let us hope that Sanjay would get linent treatment in higher courts.

i am totally satisfied with the jail term given to dutt. he deserved that. he used to have liason with dawood & other gangster. listen to his audio tapes of interaction with those people. he used to lick their asses

finally some justice in India

I think the judge has been a little harsh on Sanjay Dutt. Sometimes you have to pay price of being a celebrity. He would have got a lighter or no jail term had this occured at some other time and not during the riots. I hope some of the political class can also be made to pay for their crimes but then it is just wishful thinking. I think he made a mistake and has already served his term(18 months). He is not a hardcore crimnal and nor does he pose any danger to the society plus there is no history of crimnal behavior. I hope SC looks into it and give an appropriate sentence.

RE:Do you know the secret?

I would say the sentense has been a little lineint, wat abt those people with lesser offences in this case getting harsher terma,b cos they r not celebrities and how could a person ,a mature and sensible person even think that his family would be under threat, when his father was a popular politician, the facts r plain,he was involved in abeting and helping anti national elements, almost all of bolly wood is involved in these crimes overtly or covertly, this judgement shall be an example for all of them.He deserved the sentence......

You guys listen to this virdict be it a cine star or a politician or any one, law of the land is same for everyone.Would everyone else would have sympathised if he would have been any other common man,no.So why to care for a person who patronised those criminals that too in his own home... it is sure lesson learnt for him.I respect this judgement and wish sanjaydutt to search for his innersoul behind the bars!

Hello Friends,
I am a fan of sanjay datt but keeping law in point, I respect the judgement given to him. This is a best example one can see that any person who admit crime can never run away from the hands of law.I salute KODE for his unbysed judgement.

Cut the crap
by Dipen Hazarika on Jul 31, 2007 08:56 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

He got what he deserved? Why dont we move with our lives. This dude will be out well before 6 years. Lets stay focused on the mantra to our success -

- Get each and every educated and the sane amongst us engaged in the electoral process. Dont just vote but evangelize your vision of a modern India.

- Shun the castrated press that we have in the country. Shun them, force them to reform. Tabloidism and sensationalism is the bane of the country.

- Change yourself - be kind and generous to the less fortunate amongst us, live clean - we are one of the dirtiest in the world, discourage corruption and be honest, be an activist and not a passifist

Instead of solving the world's and Sanjay Dutt's problems, if we just work on the above, all of us will lead a much better life.

Bravo, Dipen. I think most of us, from inside at least, agree to you. And those who do not, should introspect well enough to understand and agree to your points.
