At last TRAITOR punished
by tapan ghosh on Aug 01, 2007 02:05 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

At last the Criminal Traitor Sanjay Dutt has been punished. You all know that a Traitor is much more harmful than an enemy. Congrats for Justice P D Kode for his courage. Those who are sheding tear for their 'Sanjubaba' are perhaps supporter of the likes of Chhota Shakeel, Anees Ibrahim, etc. because their 'Sanjubaba's recorded conversation with these 'great men' are published document. They must know that D-Company's strength is not Gun or Bomb, because state has in its possession these items in much more quantity. D-Company's real strength is the support and assistance of influencial people like 'Sanjubaba'. For this unholy nexus, state cannot use its Gun freely against Antinational Criminals. Our nation and people are not safe in the hands of the supporters of 'Sanjubaba'. TAPAN GHOSH

Grave roblem

We have a serious problem with our Judicial system.First plac, people get punishments after long long waits. If the person in question is innocent has long period of tense and confused and questioned life. If he is guilty, he must have taken enough pain and must have realised his mistakes over a period of time.

I agree with the punishment that Sanjay dutt received, but its too late and the you punish a peron after realizing his mistake. And more than Justice, courts wanted to show equality to justice. If thats the case, lets bring all Sidhu, Salman..who have committed a crime..Why leave them? Lets be fair to all..

Wrong!!!!!!!!

The judge should know that back in 1990s sanjay was known as NARGIS (muslim) son. Sanjay aquired gun to protect his mother and family due to hindu muslim roits. Nargis car was attacked during riots.
Having said all that could some one tell kode that in india most people keep unlicensed pistols. Deh! Trying to shine indian court system by ridding on poor film actors. puke! Salman is next!

So what's your point. Two wrongs don't make a right.

"could some one tell kode that in india most people keep unlicensed pistols"

1)most people !! where did you get your statistics from ?
2) Keeping illegal gun is illegal. no matter if it's one person or many people keep it.
3) There is a difference between keeping pistol and AK-47. (like a simple bomb and NUKE)

Excellent decision by Judge Kode
by Mukesh on Aug 01, 2007 01:33 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

All articles about Sanjay Dutt only?? Judge Kode has given historic judgement and did his duty so well, still all the talk about Sanjay Dutt only.
It would have been nice if media wrote about Judge and his bold decision as well.

Bold decision...It is truly a ruthless decision..against the very conscious of constitution. The genesis of law in the civil society was to bring a rebel to accountable realization..not to tear apart the very spirit of a transformed man. Sanjay Dutt has been through many a waters in his life already.the paradigm that shifted at the angle of 180 degrees in his life the whole nation has already witnessed for the space of two decades..I believe this blatant decision very poignantly yet eloquently echoes the doleful saga of a bitter judicial verdict that never understood the emotions of the Nation that has seen a terrific change in the man called Sanjay Dutt...

a crime commited can never be revoked. if someone is pardoned on the basis of change towards good, then each & every criminal should be pardoned.ur true in one aspects they never understood the emotions of nation, but law doesnot work on emotions and if it works that way sanju would have been hanged publicly 12-13 years ago

Sanjay' Crime
by nameya on Aug 01, 2007 01:27 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Sanjay Dutt was arrested on charges of acquiring three AK-56 rifles, nine magazines, 450 cartridges and over 20 hand grenades , weapons and explosives associated either with terrorists or counter-insurgency forces.
Two of the three AK-56 rifles, some ammunition and 20 hand grenades returned by Sanjay had been kept at Zaibunissa Kazis house for a few days. She was held guilty under Section 3(3) of TADA.
Sanjay had asked for the weapons, stored them, asked for them to be destroyed and even admitted to his association with Anees Ibrahim, Zaibunissa Kazi had only stored them for a few days. Her role was in no way comparable to Sanjays.
Another co-accused Manzoor Ahmed had similarly been held guilty under Section 3(3) of TADA. Manzoors role too was that he had been called by gangster Abu Salem , like Manzoor, also from Azamgarh in UP , and the two had driven to Sanjays house to pick up the bag that was then kept at Zaibunissa Kazis house.
Sanjay was the one who had asked for lethal weapons from his friend and gangster Anees Ibrahim, who along with his brother Dawood, is among the main conspirators of the 1993 blasts. It was Sanjay who had retained one AK-56 and some ammunition while returning two assault rifles, hand grenades and ammunition. In Manzoors case, his car had been used to bring back a part of the consignment from Sanjays residence. As for Zaibunissa Kazi, she had allowed her house to be used as a transit point. The weapons were meant neither for her nor for Manzo

nameya, if you see a person with AK-47 today, what would you think about him? Well, I will immediately know that this guy is upto something bad, and he definitely got this gun frm wrong guys.
So, I shud inform police and not help that guy.
All those who helped in any way must be punished.

It is harsh but a lenient one too
by Globe Mart on Aug 01, 2007 01:16 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Sanjay Dutt has spent 16 months and 12 years of trauma. The aim of judiciary is to to make the conduct of society right. And Kode hands were tied. But ofcourse it is harsh on sanjay as he lives a normal and puposful life. But we should also other hald of the mirroe. he has been acquited from the terrorism charges and found guilty of arms act but this armas act was not an ordinary one. It was related to 1993 bomb blast. Some of similar accused got life imprisonment.
It is harsh on Sanjay Dutt but also lenient one. I admire him as an actor and hope Spreme court will show some mercy as Judge has the power to show mercy.
