Great verdict
by Thalaivar on Jul 31, 2007 01:51 PM  Permalink

This is something that is unheard in India considering his fame and political connections.

Superb verdict. Judiciary is still alive in this country. Wish to see the same kind of treatment to politicians as well.

Times are gradually changing and it is not far when all wrong doers even if they are politicians will be afraid to commit crimes. Law shall and will prevail for all. We must be proud of the judiciary who meant business. Those who support crime and think they can purchase the law times are changing and they will be punished.

Sanjay Dutt
by KR Ramachandran on Jul 31, 2007 01:50 PM  Permalink

The judge pronounced the right judgement. Law of land is applicable to all. Mr. Dutt was indeed mature at the time of commitment of the crime. The judgement simply followed the rule book.

Why don't you become a judge. If a person like you is sitting in that chair then anything can happen in india. Go and spend time with sanjay in jail.

Arms act under which Dutt was convicted only has 10 yrs max. He got 40 percent discount, and will spend 6 yrs minus 18 months that he spent as an undertrial

Under pressure from the punished victim's families and friends Judge probabaly may have sentenced this judgement against him...
Very disappintment that many criminals who were doing heinouses crime then Sanju are free and doing more crimes everday...Judge shud have taken his last 10 years living record before adjudicating the judgement....very sad news for all Indians...very heartening...

I guess we are never happy. If the judge had set him free, we would have said, there is no justice in this country and politicians, celebrities can do what they want. And now when judge finally delivered the justice, we are against that as well.
Only because the fact that there are more criminals out there, does not mean that no one (we like) should be sent to prison.
Come on accept the fact, he did commit an offence and should be punished.
