Kode needs to be respected for such a brave decision. I liked previous films of sanjay dutt, but that cannot be used as accuse for playing with people's life who lost there near and dear ones in 1993 blast

There is no bravery in sentencing sunjay when D. Ibrahim can freely shop around in london and his sister gets her salaams from bombay police. Beating chests about about nabbing a relatively peaceful and kind person while 'shaatirs' sleep with bombay police deserves some 'choodis' and a 'petticoat'.

You are right but see if you want to be criminal then try to become fully one , otherwise for common person law is same.

Once you come to in the row of common people the we need to follow the law and regulations.

I agreed with you that we need to do something to clear the real picture as real criminals are enjoying out of india.

Since 1993 till 2007, isn't this enough for the guy.He has already served in prision for 14 months and since then he never had peace. All these 14 years he has been in constant touch with the authorities and never got the real freedom and now 6 more years?? It is bit too much from the Judge. He is now paying the price of being a star that he is.
I am with you baba and whenever it will be required to help you in anyway throught anyway i can, i will be there for you. My prayers are always with you. God bless you and you will come out winner for sure which you are and which you always did.
God give him a break please..

Mokae pae Choka

Kode has delivered all possible dialogues on Sanjay dutt because he was waiting for this verdict from last 14 years, May be Dutt wanted to fix it and move fwd with clean name but Kode treated him as he is caught on the day of bombs .. I am sure Sanjay had not slept 14 years waiting to get cleared ..if Sanjay had known that he is going get 6yrs punishment ..He had joined dawood in Dubai... if keeping arms is tht big is tht big crime ..75% bihari's UP's posses those ... Sanjay dutt was fool expecting system will give him chance to clean the dirt and will be back to normal life ...Kode Sahaab i would have loved your decision if in 14yrs ..your police had catched the Dawood ...Kode u just hit Mokae pae Choka

Kode needs to be respected for such a brave decision. I want to ask the previous guy who posted, Would you say the same if your family members were killed in 1993 blast? I liked previous films of sanjay dutt, but that cannot be used as accuse for playing with people's life who lost there near and dear ones in 1993 blast

Rule of Law
by CM JHA on Aug 01, 2007 07:50 AM  Permalink

Rule of law is to keep the society safe. I don't think anyone will say that Sanjay Dutt is a threat to the society given his code of conduct for the past 14 years. He might have made a criminal mistake 14 years ago inadvertently. But then he already served jail term of 1.5 years and pain & agony of 14 years. By sending him jail for 6 years, we as a society are sending a wrong signal - as we are debarring someone from a society who is now a good citizen (given the span of 14 years and his good conduct in jail term). Our society needs him much more than so many corrupt politicians. There are undoubtedly many corrupt and anti-social elements in the society which our legal system overlook. 6 years is definitely a along term punishment for him.

Sanjay's mistake
by Rahul Kulkarni on Aug 01, 2007 07:42 AM  Permalink

All I want to say is that justice should be equal for everybody. If Sanjay dutt can be acquitted then there are many who have got worse punishments, who should have been acquitted as well.

Sanjay possessed the weapons during TADA time and the bomb blasts/riots and that was his biggest mistake. Had he possessed them at peaceful times this would not have been a big issue.

Anyway looks like he can appeal in Supreme court for bail??? Or he will have some "mysterious" disease and will be moved to a posh and luxurious hospital (read five star hotel) for treatment which could take 6 years to complete.

Sanju baba in prison
by Sam on Aug 01, 2007 07:36 AM  Permalink

He will eat roti/daal, shit in common bathroom, sleep on hard bed. He would have been better off if he hung around his brother-in-law(Kumar gaurav & Co.) rather than Dawoods and yusufs.

Moral: Bad company ain't worth it.

Imagine Blasts happening in a Islamic country..eg. Pakistan...and if Hindus were invovled(which will never happen) what would be the result!! I will tell you, the government would have ordered to kill each and every hindu at sight without even carrying out trial!

India is such a secular nation...the justice department is punishing through proper channel, What more do you expect from Inida!!!
