sanjay dutt's sentence
by mehak sabat on Jul 31, 2007 01:57 PM  Permalink

i am not a sanjay dutt fan..i like him for some of his recent movies but a fan am not but the sentece seems a bit harsh to me.i mean agreed he did do something wrong in the past when he was young and he has spent the jail term for that.since then good sense has prevailed and he has been clean.also the torture of not knowing how your future is going to be is killing.though am happy that the indian judiciary system has sent across the right message by making an example of this case yet at the same time i feel for munnabhai!

Honestly speaking he deserves the punishment like others, but looking to the work he has put and also his father for the nation, he might have given soft corner and punished with fine only.

Good Verdict
by ramanujan gopala on Jul 31, 2007 01:57 PM  Permalink

The judiciary system is getting better. It is a just trial and people who commit crime should never go scott-free, be it a super-star or a politician. It should be the same for corrupt politicians also.

Good to see that the judicial system is improving!!

REALISTIC JUDGEMENT- JUDICIARY ZINDABAD
by Mohammed Hakeem on Jul 31, 2007 01:56 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

SARE JAHAN SE ACCHAA HINDUSTAN AHAMARA

HAT OFF TO THE JUDGE WHO DID REALISTIC JUDGEMENT. HE HAS SEND GOOD SIGNALS TO EVEY ONE THAT THE LAW IS NOT ABOVE ANY BODY. SANJAY SHOULD TAKE THIS WITH OPEN HEART AND SHOULD GO TO JAIL.

100% correct...no one is above law....whatever is the religion or caste...all corrupt and criminal should be punished...then we can have great nation.

But at heart, I feel sorry for this man...not sure why he has kept the GUN.

LUCKY TO BE LET OFF, WITH SUCH A LIGHTER SENTENCE!
by Kabeer on Jul 31, 2007 01:56 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Sanjay was lucky!

1. In the first place the Judge has taken those extra pains to expressly state that "Sanjay is not a terrorist!" an expression that the Judge did not reserve for others who were let off lightly.

2. Secondly, Sanjay was comfortably convicted under Arms Act than TADA because of his political influence!

3. For all those who think he is too good a guy to be sentenced, think again! Sanjay didn't severe his links with the Dawood's underworld even after the he came out from jail. His taped conversations with Chota Shakeel from Nashik is a proof!

4. Share a thought for that little new born baby in a worli nursing home whose frail delicate body literally got smeared to the ceiling of the hospital due to impact of the bomb blast at Worli!

5. Of course, I too agree that he is immature and a child in a man's body! But atleast he could have severed all his contacts with the underworld! What for does he need them coming from such an illustrious family?

6. He will surely come out after serving a smaller period on good behaviour and after deducting the time he already spent in jail!

Very sad! May God give good sense to everyone so that such things never occur again, even by mistake!

kabeer,

do you think its THAT simple to sever contacts with the underworld? what do you think? that you can call and say, 'bas bhai. ab mujhe phone mat karna'. ? please use some sense, for god's sake. if he could have, he would have. but its never in your hands. its in theirs.
