Rubbish
by Reji A on Jul 31, 2007 02:10 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Sentencing Sanjay Dutt is nonsense. Possessing a gun does not deserve this punishment. There are politicians and civil officers who deserve such punishments. But they go scot free

Cursing Politicians for everything is become a habit... No wonder that Dutt get sentenced. Even Dutt is aware that he will get this punishment. Charity service and role model in filims will not cover the crime he had done and finally the Sanjay dutt admitted the mistake. All the best Sanay Dutt for getting a bail from Supreme Court to play another media drama

Reji u r an idiot. he was not punished for possessing arm legally. he was punished for illegal possession of fire arms that too procured from underworld. Did you not read what Judge say? He had attended a dinner party where underworld don Dawood was present. All these acts could not have done by an innocent. The Law has taken its course. Considering the status and also as a person we may sympethise with him but the nature of the crime is no away a pardonable one.

Judgement is perfect

I'm fan of Snajay but it doesn't mean he can do anything. This should be lesson for all celebratites if they are doing criminal activities. Staying in India doing these kind of criminal should not be allowed. Judge should be promoted.

Wonderful response, dwarak. Appreciating an actor for his work and drawing him to justice are 2 independent things.. most other ppl here are thinking with their hearts.

Sanjay dutt being 'used' unnecessarily
by hardee shah on Jul 31, 2007 02:09 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

using celebrities to display the strength of 'law' seems to have become a practise now..wish this extra justified punishments were meted put to even half the politicians in the country who shamelessly flaunt their status and power to loot and kill!

Can we expect same for corrupt politicians
by on Jul 31, 2007 02:09 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

I see messages hailing the judge, court and Indian justice system to deliver the right verdict and not giving any special treatment to a high profile star. But can we expect the same kind of treatment when a corrupt politician is involved. Far more lives are lost and common men suffer misery because of the corruption among politicians some holding high positions. I don't remember a single case where such verdicts are given.

The real reason behind the sentence to Mr.Dutt is his star status, the indian judiciary wanted to show that they dont spare the stars, but can we ask the entire judiciary a single question 'WHY ARE THE POLITICANS AN EXCEPTION TO ALL SUCH THINGS??? WHY ARE THEY NEVER CONVICTED OR SENTENCED'
POOR SANJAY DUTT

Justice at last!!
by on Jul 31, 2007 02:09 PM  Permalink

It is a good thing to see the doctrine "No citizen is larger than the country's law" being proven right.

We must respect and be grateful to the country's legal infrastructure that have assured us that dignity and life of the citizens will be protected.

This trial should act as a deterrence to criminals.

Long live democracy, peace, and the Indian constitution.
