Sanjay ,the great Munna bhai
by sudarshan gupta on Jul 31, 2007 02:22 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Sanjay was doing the good job of entertaining ppls with his good humour and good moral movies like lage raho Munna Bhai which were the positive effect on the minds of the society . and redicover the magic formula of Gandhism. What good do the improsionment of Sanjay will do to the soceity??? Was he threat to Mumbai or was he a active terrorist or mobster? If Mumbai safe if Sanjay remains behind bar ?? This is the expample of hypocratic public of India . When Osama attacked US of A and was in Afganisthan , USA attacked Afganisthan , instead of finding which citizen of USA was dinning with Al-quaida or who helped them to get the infrastructure. USA went striaght for the jugular. Hats off to them .What do you we say about ourselves. Even after 14 years of attack on our beloved country...we dont have guts or resources to catch hold of or atleast murder the main cultprit that is Dawood Ibrahim . Instead we fools are celebrating the conviction of a good citizen. Mr. Duttt .Have the ghosts of mumbai blast have been excorcised by this jugement. No !

Out of many opinions here,Sudarshan Gupta's comment is logical. The main culprit is roaming (and will be roaming forever)and the toady India Government does not have the guts to catch him hold from anywhere. This is the irony of fate!

Punishment to a celebrity
by Manish Kumar on Jul 31, 2007 02:21 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

It is interesting to see the reaction of so many people to Sanjay Dutt's punishment .Lot of people have commented that he is innocent as he did not kill anyone .People do not realise that all organisations require footsoldiers who by themselves are not important indivisually but collectively they are indispensible .Sanjay Dutt was very much part of the big chain- even if was unintended .So many customs agents and officials also were punished for their part even though they never realised that the consignements that they were clearing were so deadly .They thought it ws just a regular shipment of Drugs or weapons .Do we show sympathy towards them - NO .But in Dutt's case so many people are sympathetic to him -maybe because of his Onscreen image and the Heroworship by all of us .IF he was a ordinary person would we care?-NOT AT ALL .If anything the law has been quiet linient to him compared to others .Justice has been done . Although it is a altogether different issue that he stil has other legal options open to him .Being a celebrity he may still be able to get away by clever legal manipulation .

The judge would have been under tremendous pressure,

Firstly for not convicting him coz of his status and his transformation from bad to good in the last 14 years

Secondly for convicting him as the non-conviction could have been root to many issues.

Hence, this verdict came.

However, how can you say that the court is linient. They have encashed his STAR status.

What about others who went away without punishment(recent e.g.MB) Why is the real culprit not punished yet????

He falled prey due to his illfate. May God bless him and relieve him from the pain he is suffering.

He is punished for possessing a weapon, but the one who have caused damaged to thousands are still not convicted.

Yes Deepali, but he was an accomplice with people who killed 5000 innocent people. Just because he acted nicely in a few movies does not mean he becomes any different from you. If you would keep an AK 56, most likely you wouldnt be even alive to be showcased here. You would possibly only appear as the scrollbar news on some hindi news channel or as a page 10-column 6-3 lines news of some terrorist killed in an encounter. How does Sanjay Dutt gain your sympathy for something which would get you killed if repeated exactly?

If you are so sad for what Sanjay Dutt got than why don't you go inside instead of him. Don't have emotions running for what one has done. He was very high some times back and now he is paying the right price for what he has done. No one is above the law. I am Happy that the law didn't differentiate between people to people. Jai Hind.

sanjay dutts jail term
by Aniruddha Admane on Jul 31, 2007 02:21 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

It should be seen that the same is followed with salman khan & parera in the hit & run case. They should be charged with murder charges and not rash driving charges. (Recently a truck driver had hit a motorcycle in delhi and was charged of un-intentional murder. The same should be done with them.)
