there are been cases of killing pavement dwellers due to rash and drunken driving and not even one has got such a sentence

Have you heard of Shibu Soren? Jayalalitha? And pls don't say that indian state conspires againest triabls, women,... Do you have statistics about no of cases registered/ acquited/convicted againest politicians, cine stars, sportsmen, normal people,...? Pls don't spew your prejudice as eternal truth. You , Sir are a moron of highest degree.
Whatever said and done, the law of the land must prevail after all. The judgment has re-affirmed the power of the Courts in India and also, our faith in the Indian Judiciary has increased by many fold.
Let this judgment be a deterrent to others, even if they are very big. At the end "Satyameva Jayate'; that is how it must be. Rest all, our liking for this actor, feeling sorry for his daughter/family, investment of the Industry on him etc. are only secondary.
Sorry, Sunju, Everybody has to carry their own cross !! Bear with the Law and abide by its verdict. You have done tough roles in Reel Life, treat this as one of those and oblige.
This case was 15 years old. Dutt has been tortured form the last 15 years and never committed any act against the law during the period. I think, he already got enough punishment and learn a good lesson. This extended six years imprisonment is really not a right verdict for him. He suffered a lot and become good person. So don%u2019t make him criminal again by giving such a horrible punishment

Yes, You are right. The first motive of law is to give chance to rectify yourself. Sanju baba already accepted his mistake. May be Supreme Court give hime bail.
It takes lot of courage to sentence 6 yrs jail term for such a famous and powerful personality like MunnaBhai,I adore Sanjay Dutt so much that it makes me difficult to believe that he committed such a grave crime,But as an Indian I am happy and proud that Justice prevailed.
