But Guys....Appreciate the fact that Aussies let it go, and didn't drag it...In India, something like this could have dragged on for days, if not months....with absolute no proper information coming out...take the case of Telgi etc etc..which took years to come to an conclusion...

Pity, this happened a little too late, else, the Congress and the Leftists would have made him the President or the Vice President of India... Lets all hope Haneef will at least become the Central Minister or the Cheif Minister of some state... Mera Bharath Mahan...

Unnecessory media hype
by ajith kumar on Jul 30, 2007 12:55 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Shall we know the purpose of giving such unnecessary media hype to this. He is a suspect not a national hero. He did not do anything so that he deserve such attention

We dont have the rights to tell a person Culprit unless and until it has been proved,he is just accused, As far as my limited knowledge is concern, Y Haneef was got arrested, bcoz of his SIM card... If he was really guilty, then why the Australian community stood behind him???. We must protest againt global terrorism but at the same time, we must make sure that no innocent person is being victimized.

who is a suspect? he has been cleared of charges, what the media does is always overblown. but the thing is how responsible was the Aus media in getting the reality of it all. and the australian judiciary which actually got him released in not too bad a time.the aus government and machinery was shabby, but brilliance of the media and judiciary.
the thing indian media has to learn is not just hackism and celebrity/ sensationalist from their western counterparts but also accountability to a story and using it as a voice and cementing its place as teh fourth pillar.
also the indian judiciary has lots to learn from the aus judiciary on its fastness in dealing with the case etc. and the indian government and foriegn service were for once on the right side, keep that up.

such misadventures by the state machinery is prevalent in all the countries. yes, he was a close relative of a terrorist and some connection was initially established. so the grilling in custody for the sake of keeping australia safe was not totally unjustified.

Dear Ajitha Kumar,

If you were in Mr. Aneef's place, what kind of recation would you expect from we indians? do you let as go with our own business or do you expect any support like how haneef is getting.

After all, we are indians, we should fight for good and also, if its wrong should punish.

And do you know why none of our politicians nore media is taking supportively for the other two buggers who spoiled our country's name??

Its all the "heritage" of our nation.
