He was sure his people were doing wrong and so alone he searched for the right way. One clear night as he sat staring at the sky he saw a beautiful shining star, so beautiful that he cried out: 'This must be Allah!' He looked at it in awe for some time, until suddenly it began to fade and then it disappeared. He turned away in disappointment saying: I love not things that set. (Koran vi.77) On another night Abraham was again looking at the sky and he saw the rising moon, so big and bright that he felt he could almost touch it. He thought to himself: This is my Lord. (Koran vi.7 ) But it was not long before the moon set as well. Then he said, Unless my Lord guide me, I surely shall become one of the folk who are astray. (Koran vi.7)

But at the same time, how could he have remained among people who did not believe in Allah and who worshipped statues? Abraham always had a sense that Allah cared for him and he felt Allah near him as he traveled.

Dudes, It is in the best interest of india and the hindus that we have to support a real secular party at the centre. Let us all vote for BJP in the next election.....we are fed up with this pseudo seculars like congy and left.....
BJP used to be secular but the problem for them is that some of the hindus mostly in rural areas are ignorant of the islamic fanatacism.....and that is the reason bjp is falling short of votes. if we all unique we can win a govt that cannot show this minority appeasement..... and to all moslims there is never an incident which was initially triggered by the hindus. Narrated 'Abdullah bin 'Amr: A man asked the Prophet , "What sort of deeds or (what qualities of) Islam are good?" The Prophet replied, 'To feed (the poor) and greet those whom you know and those whom you do not Know.
Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said,
"While a man was walking on his way he became extremely thirsty. He found a well, he went down into it to drink water. Upon leaving it, he saw a dog which was panting out of thirst. His tongue was lolling out and he was eating moist earth from extreme thirst. The man thought to himself: `This dog is extremely thirsty as I was.' So he descended into the well, filled up his leather sock with water, and holding it in his teeth, climbed up and quenched the thirst of the dog. Allah appreciated his action and forgave his sins".
The Companions asked: "Shall we be rewarded for showing kindness to the animals also?'' He (PBUH) said, "A reward is given in connection with every living creature".[Al-Bukhari and Muslim].
In the narration of Al-Bukhari, the Prophet (PBUH) is reported to have said: "Allah forgave him in appreciation of this act and admitted him to Jannah".
This Hadith emphasizes the importance of kindness to every creature, even animals, because Allah is pleased with such kindness.

On many occasions, one is to bear the punishment, caused due to the faults of relations/friends.Haneef is lucky that Australian Police has not framed him for the sake of proving his fault, as on many occasions, happens here.
One lesson for all Muslim community, If their society, particularly clergies are not condemning the Jihad/terrorists openly in an emphatically manner, the whole cummunity in the world will be seen with doubt, and will be treated as IInd class citizen.My advice may look uneasy, but no body can challenge the reality.
