I am a hindu a true devout hindu but I would not let personal bias against one particular religion , which I understand at the moment are much maligned in the world, to take control over my judgement and brand everyone of that religion to be seen in par as a terrorist.I am currently in Perth,W.A but a fair trial has been done in this country and he has been let off without any evidence. We must respect that judgement.

I totally agree with you Kumar. We should never bring religion and respect people as normal human being. Australian police bungled and realized the bungling and corrected themselves. If it would have been Indian police they would have tried for many years to frame an innocent and court will be deciding the cases forever. In spite of their bungling let us respect their public outcry and bringing justice.

Its a stigma to Muslims that whenever there is a terror its always a Muslim associated with that. In fact i rarely remember a last terrorism attack in which it was not a Muslim. It is obvious that there a quiet a lot innocent people who are becoming victims because of the terror attacks by real terrorists. These terrorists should understand that by doing such malicious activities they are bringing down Muslims across entire world, and in the end who are most affected .. innocent people have have to pay for their stupidities deeds .. On the other hand, i never see a Muslim killing some persons responsible for misdeeds to the, it is only the innocent people all around the world are killed. It is therefore duty of Muslims to teach there future generations right meaning of Islam... so that they do not later on find a brother or sister who have indulged in terror attacks ...

A very sensible comment,if only our "secular" media digests/understands this.While I'm typing this I see there has been a blast in Srinagar and some have died! Our "leaders are demanding withdrawal of troops from strategic areas who are posted there at a huge cost just to save the population from terrorists sent/trained from accross the border!and some "secular" media supports such anti-national demands of these polititians and our Central Govt may agree to such demands just to save their chair.
Hanif is innocent so he deserves fair treat at any cost.he got tremednous support from austrian public and press.sometimes terrorists use innocent people also as an weapen and terrorism is not limited to any perticular religeon.

While no one can deny a fair trial, today's press reports quoting the police chief Hosur in Bangalore which appeared in almost all papers in Bangalore gives a different picture! He is reported to haave said that Dr Haneef would be subjected to questioning about his link if any, about the IIsc shootout and the "sleeping cell" of al-qaida suspected to be existing in Bangalore.
Since the australians did not pin any charge and cleared him, we must acknowledge that he is innocent of direct involvement with terrorists, even though he was friendly with them. Let us hope he settles down, get gainful employment and become a useful member of the society. He needs the support of family members and friends to forget the immediate traumatic past.

Rightfully said. Muslims are safest in India, but unfortunately a section of this community is speading hate towads the nation and causing loass of life and property of the innocent citizen. Most of them do not have a sense of patriotic feelings.

When our PM had commented that he had lost sleep on this issue,many of the senior jounalists/commentators had derisively passed adverse/funny comments since it was unusual to pass such remarks in a matter like this.Some papers in their lead articles like Times had commented about our PM's sleeping sickness since it was a similar comment of not losing his sleep at the time of Harshad Mehta Stock market Scam when he was a Finance Minister!

Quota system existed even in brahminic times when no non-brahmin other than ruling class kshetriyas were allowed to give them self education, though the vedanta was for all, who gain knowledge becomes brahmin, but once brahmin they started thinking that there son and grandson and great grand son all should be brahmins, they thought the world is only for brahmins. But see times had changed, they have to absolve their forefathers for the sins they committed by breaking the golden vedatic society fabric. Vedanta is no longer a bread giver.
The sitiuation is not much different, replace education by money and brahmins by powerful/rich, they are accumulating riches for their son & grandsons since wealth is more important... the situation may go like this in future they have lot of money and wealth but no food to eat, as they donot know how to grow food and money may no longer be a food giver tommorow when it will be scarce & growers are scarce.This is only an example, teh situation may be actually different from that illustrated...but riches will no longer remain with powerful, even if it is it will be useless because of mass apathy and bycott.
