This is just the beginning of a tragic end.
by chanakya maurya on Jul 30, 2007 12:36 PM  Permalink

Bharatvarsh badly needed the nuclear fuel.

We ought to purchase it from the international market, including that of the US, unconditionally.

Re-processing the spent fuel is our own business.

The world and particularly the ruling Indian politicians must not forget that the usurpation of Iraq commenced with the "inspection" drama.

Why should any outsider, be that friend or foe, in the first place be permitted to come and inspect one's own backyard ??????

This will give the yankees a foothold on the Indian soil.

And the Indian politicians are behaving like "foolishly yours".

In the garb of inspection, the yankees would make unreasonable demands, which, if not met to their fullest satisfaction, could lead to their invading India the same way they did Iraq.

Cant the leaders of Bharatvarsh perceive this threat ?

I am waiting for the pak to conduct a nuclear test so that 1. It would take some heat away from Mush from his local problems.
2. To test India's response after the deal.

though not immidiate but it is likely that pak will test india's strategy.

This is not a sold-out. This is just a diplomatic face saver for domestic consumption in USA.
In any case, future technology ensures less dependence on actual Nuclear Tests.

India managed it for a long time. So did Pakisthan.

And Israel still manages without it.

We always have lines and provisions like that in even simple commercial/bi-leteral business agreement. Here we are talking about such important issue as Nulear stuff.

We don't need to read too much the above lines because we have provisions to get fuel from other countries in the event of absence of American fuel supply. Second thing we are now allowed to import nuclear reactors and technology from other countries also. So if we have a combination of reactions from various countries, that will counter balance when America wants to take back their reactors and their technology. Most important point is if America wants to take back their reactors and technology then American has to bear the looses incurred by their action.

i think if US stops supply of fuel under any event, Russia would be more than willing to supply us the fuel, like it did in the tarapur case very recently even when the US was opposed to russia giving fuel to India then

may be u r a beggar. v r not.

see the state of us debt, immediate market situations and its future implications, then enlighten us with ur cheap ideas.

soon the days will be over if people r intelligent enough that selling weapons, creating wars, creating divisions between nations n people and such cheap tricks are not sustainable in long run.

Bait and Switch
by Raj Bhardwaj on Jul 28, 2007 02:41 PM  Permalink

The US is cleverly using the classic "bait and switch" trick, and the Man Mohan Singh Government has swallowed hook line and sinker.
