Managing editor Sheela Bhat has some love for macho ones who can get arrested under TADA. She justifies it as a reason for violence.
By default Muslims are violent because of existance of hindu ideology. In pakisthan they are violent because of different reason. It is as if the Jehadi ideology is missing. When did 'managing editor' sheela Bhat explained Tabligh Jamat ?
Hindus are violent( when ever they are) because they are fascists.
I outrightly sympathise with the Moslem brethern of my country, i have had many Moslem friends of mine, who were my class-mates, work-colleagues, and one of them is a very special friend of mine.. And everytime some terrorist bombs a part of India, i am saddened - because I know my friends will univocally be branded as 'terrorists'... I believe the time has come for the moderate Moslems to stand up against extremism (and this is what i sincerely advise my friends) and to take the misleading mullahs and maulavis to task. Also, the Congress govt is doing a yeomen job in splitting the nation into two in the name of religion ... So, i appeal to all moderate moslems to stay away from these scandal mongers.
I dont appreciate the points made by this Lawer. Sometimes he quotes from constitution, sometimes from probability and sometimes from Imagination. Just to prove his point. This article is a glaring example why the followers of Islam are confused. They have started on wrong direction, and will not reach where they want to. 'You Reap what you Sow'

Thanks for your Limited Knowledge...... Before talking, first know the Meaning of KAFIR & MUHAJAREEN (Not Mujahaideen)... KAFIR: Kafir in Literal Meaning in Arabic is "Non-Beleiver of Islam".... If I ask you a question "Are you a Beleiver of Islam" you will answer that "I am a Non-Beleiver of Islam". If i translate the same into Arabic it is called KAFIR... Then why do you think it as a Degrading Statement ???
Who said that all the muslims hate Non Beleivers ??? What is tha Basis for your Judgement.... All my Neighbors, Friends and Teachers are Hindus... I never hate them, infact I respect fellow Hindus >>>
MUHAJAREENS: Muhajireens, do you know the Meaning of It ?? It means that the Refugees travelling from their Homeland to a foregn country, due to the Threats in Homeland... It is not a degradable Term.. Even Prophet Mohammed (PBUH)and his companions were a Muhajareen, when the Enemies asked them to leave Mecca...and they are called the Muhajareens in Medina... Nothing Degrading about it... Literally it means similar to Refugees...getting a better place where they can practice Islam... And Regarding your statement, of leaving India.. It is my homeland, and always you like your Homeland better than any other Place.... Even when Mohammed (PBUH) flourished in Medina, he had special attraction to his homeland Mecca...It is the same case with all Humans,, we will have attachment with our Mother Land.. And Nobody has the right to eliminate Us... So befor

Thanx for updating my knowledge.
1. And BTW i have never written that muslims should leave the country. Plz recheck.
2. Dont your religion says that KAFIRS should be eliminated & there should only be Allah & no one else. Does this mean that you will kill all non-muslims or convert them to islam by all means.
3. And dont you agree that Muslims living in India enjoy greater freedom than those in Pak...
4. Think India as our own country & as a matter of showing solidarity why to support an enemy country...
I have all the due respect for Muhammad but also expect you all to show respect to our gods...

No religion teaches to eliminate other religion poeples..if this would be fact then in India after 600-700 muslims rule, there would not be a single hindu left. but dear u still see muslims are still minority in India. As you said rightly Muslims are more happy in India compare to any country in world, when justice is matter we should all support to every country irrespective of religion. we shd be against for every country if they do unjustice to India. History tell that we fought together with british to get freedom. and lastly we all respect sentiments of others whether it is hindu or chirtian or judiasm.. We never have any enimety towards any differnt form of God of any religion. pls read all holy books of yours and other such as Bible, Quraan with meanings to get right knowledge

It is true that there are Muslims who cheat, bribe and whose personal character is indeed disappointing when judged by the standard of Islam. There are black sheep in every community, and the Muslim community has theirs. It is important to bear in mind though, that display of such low ethical standards by some Muslims is a result of not following the teachings of Islam. In the current political climate, it has become fashionable to associate Islam with obscurantist ideas, and extremist behavior. Millions of Muslims worldwide focus on righteous deeds in this life, in order to attain eternal salvation in the hereafter. Muslims are the biggest community of teetotalers in the world. Every year, Muslims donate billions of dollars in charity, as part of their religious obligation of Zakat. The vast majority of law-abiding, righteous Muslims, however, do not make the headlines, the way deviants do.This has resulted in the perpetuation of negative stereotypes of Muslims. Judging Islam by the behavior of some Muslims is akin to judging a car by an erratic driver.
London, July 17 (IANS) Students from all non-European Union countries, including India, wanting to study in British universities at the PhD level in specialised areas like biochemistry and nuclear physics will be subject to security vetting under a new scheme to be introduced later this year.
The scheme is called Academic Technology Approval Scheme (ATAS), and is part of Britain's wider security efforts to ensure that knowledge in universities here is not misused in the backdrop of concerns over proliferation and terrorism.
The 'proliferation-risk' subject areas that will be closely monitored for foreign PhD students include biochemistry, electrical engineering, nuclear physics, microbiology, chemical engineering, aeronautical dynamics and material sciences. Several Indian students have been coming to Britain to study in these areas.
Speaking exclusively to IANS, Foreign Office official Neil Kernohan said the scheme would essentially target a small number of PhD students to pursue research in selected subject areas. Before applying for a student visa, they would first need to obtain a 'certificate of approval' after going through the new, IT-based security system.
"Discussions on the new scheme have been going for nearly two years, when it was realised that the existing academic system was not rigid enough. It is not linked to the recent acts of terrorism in Britain," he said.
The earlier vetting system was voluntary and relied on academic institutions providin

The earlier vetting system was voluntary and relied on academic institutions providing information about postgraduate students from a list of 'ten countries of concern'. The new system makes it mandatory for all non-EU PhD students to be vetted.
"The new system will be open... and thus less discriminatory. Our objective is to ensure that students coming into the UK to study do not take back information that helps the spread of weapons of mass destruction at home," Kernohan added.
ATAS will be managed by the Foreign Office and will involve an online application form that potential students in the select subject areas will need to complete.
They will be checked on the basis of their country of origin, the university at which they studied in their home countries and whether they had a history of proliferation.
If there are any concerns or doubts about the potential students, they will be refused the 'certificate of approval', which will lead to refusal of a visa.
Kernohan stressed that the new system will affect a small fraction of students coming to Britain. The system is currently being tested and it is hoped that it will be implemented at the beginning of the forthcoming academic year starting from September.
However, concern has been expressed in academic circles that the new system might deter international students from coming to Britain for higher studies. Overseas students are considered vital to maintaining Britain's international competitiveness.

The registrar of the Royal Society of Chemists, Tony Ashmore, told his organisation's publication, Chemistry World, that there was a security issue that needed to be addressed.
But, he said, Britain must remain "open to students and academics from around the world. It really depends on how the Foreign Office implements the new system. If the vetting is restricted to a small number of countries that attract relatively few students, then the impact might be quite small.
"But if the scheme catches large numbers of students indiscriminately it could put people off coming to this country."
In 2005-06, nearly 124,000 postgraduate students came to study in the UK.
Kernohan added: "It's not my impression that this is a particularly large-scale problem here but there was an argument for putting it on a mandatory footing. It would not be in anybody's interest to penalise bona fide students interested in coming to study here."
A spokesperson for the Royal Society said it was clearly "a priority to prevent the proliferation of chemical, biological and nuclear weapons". But she added that it was important that any successor to the earlier system did not dissuade potential postgraduates from applying to study in Britain by creating unnecessary hurdles in the application process.

Ismail Syed and Chora Chichora...leave it now dont answer them back..they have madeup a mindset and its hard for them to realise the facts from now on as they relate ebverything to terrorism and killings..This gives them an opportunity to coverup the limitations in their religions. They may give you hundred and one explanations none of them making sense and still insist that they are right. There were these sort of people even at times of Muhammmad(PBUH)some of them came to light while others stayed back. Our duty even religious is to tell them rest is upto them..but what hurts is the abuse they make against Islam and our Prophet(PBUH)for whom this universe was created..and they take an immense pleasure of hurting the muslim sentiments nowadays..they themselves are at fault and these message boards are made to spread hatered than to discuss something constructive..When you go to some kashmiri news paper site and paste the articles related to atrocities in kashmir by indian army then rediff is fast to respond and delete the messages but when there is an abuse against Islam..the message is their to be read by millions..and here we go with the largest democracy in world

Yes. It is unfortunate people use abusive language about others and their religions. The one who really loves his religion can not abuse other's religion. Request all to confine to the topic. It is very sad to see the sentiments of people are hurt because of this free for all debate. As a Hindu I respect Muslim religion per se and have lot of Muslim friends which I am proud of. In India the real traiters are Hindu's themselves who indulge in antinational acts in collaboration with outside force for the sake of money

Anandji,Actually Our Indian Media is obsessed with us Muslims & our faith. We are just putting forward our thoughts to clear the misconception about Islam.Really there is lot of it in our India b'coz of biased media. Some people just dont want to know the truth.Their Heart is full of hatred for Islam. There are black sheep in every community, and the Muslim community has theirs. .In the current political climate, it has become fashionable to associate Islam with obscurantist ideas, and extremist behavior. The lawyer Mr Azmi is nothing but an opportunist. He's putting the blame on Indian police and government in general that a huge conspiracy is going on against the muslims.
All he specializes is the muslim accused in any kind of blasts or conspiracy against India/hindus. And there is no dearth of "business" from those areas, is there?
I wish the judges would see through his stupid reasonings .... and actually wish that the Mumbai police does work the way Mr Azmi has accused them of doing.
