Allow men to wear pants
by Bala Subramanian on Jul 26, 2007 06:00 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

It is a welcome move to allow women to wear churidar. Men too should be allowed to enter temple wearing pants. Hope a favourable decision will be taken

WE CAN ALLOW PANT BUT IT SHOULD BE IN A NORMAL STYLE. IF WE ALLOWED PANT THERE WILL BE A FASHION WITH LOT OF POCKETS, TIGHT PANTS WITH PROJECTING PARTS SO, IT WILL BETTER IF WE ARE ALLOWING JUBBA & PAIJAMA FOR GENTS.

why churidar? Allow women in western style dress. Then temple will get good collection. Another place for making money to Govt. / Devasom board.Either you remove all hurdles or donot make any amendment from the present law. You can do it such things in only Hindu Relegion.

Sir,
I would like to express my strong objection to this meddling into traditioal values and customs. I dont want point my fingers at other religions and thier practices but all should be aware that every religion have thier own 'codes'.Kindly refer to the vatican dress code and the islamic dress codes. Let age old traditions be respected and it is hereby requested that politicians and self proclaimed socio reformists not create another unwanted controversy

RE:NEW LOGIC
by Satyan Nair on Jul 26, 2007 06:02 PM  Permalink
Rajmohan, read carefully and write carefully. 'Men not to wear dress' is different from 'men not to wear "pants". Men can wear some other dress and must wear it.

This is a good start. Please also debate and make change to the families who have a inter-religion marriage to enter the temple. If one of the person from hindu their family should be allowed to enter the temple.

no yaar, why keep even that obligation... a person irrespective of his or her cast, religion or sex should be allowed to enter a place of worship unless until he comes with a malicious intention of creating some sort of nuisance. if i want to go and sit in a church or mosque someday, why should anybody stop me? nothing should stop a person from worshiping gods from more than one religion, as nothing stops a person to worship more than one god within his / her own religion.

THERE IS ALWAYS SOME BASIC RULE & CODE OF CONDUCT TO GO ANY MOSQUE OR TEMPLE.LORD KRISHNA LOVES COWS, THE CAST OR A PERSON NOT ALLOWED TO ENTER IN TEMPLE IF HE OR HIS CAST EATS COW MEAT. DONT FORGET GOD'S NAME IS "GOVINDA"

In the year of electing a woman as the President, the temple folks have moved in the right direction. Otherwise, when a country can have a woman as the President, preventing women from entry into a temple would have looked absurd to the world.

This cannot be accepted. We are changing our old customs and culture for the convenience of young generation.

Why people are not ready to take some efforts to enter Guruvayoor temple.

as far as the person is co9verd head to toe and is not like these so called item women it shoulfd be acceptable.
Churidars are as good as any other dress and is just as respectable.come out of the cacoon and move forward.

Senthil, Hinduism is the only religion who respects all other religion and too liberal. That is the only reason we have survived in spite of all the conversion spree by other religions.

I would prefer Hinduism to be a liberal religion and continue to reform as per time. We have been reforming with time. Like the Sati practice etc. I think this is a welcome change.

My vote will be to allow people from other religion also.

Shiva
