suspend legislators
by ravi kumar on Jul 26, 2007 09:03 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

the goa govt has been going through such political convulsions almost every few months and there seems to be no sight of a stable govt in goa. this has been going on for years eversince statehood was granted for goa.

the only way out is to suspend the assembly and bring the state under presidents rule.

all legislators who switch parties must be suspended , irrespective of their party affiliation and must not be allowed to contest future elections.

instable govts , frequent elections at the cost of the govt should not be forced on the people of goa , by such narrow and selfish acts of its legislators.

the legislators should be accountable to the people who elect them afterall.

Yes, Mr. Ravi kumar %u2013 you are right. These politically corrupt, low graded humans should be barred in taking part in future elections. President rule maybe a simple solution, but that does not solve our problems, what we need is accountability, so it%u2019s time for Goans to stand-up for themselves and come out on street and show their peoples power.

How can we trust our politicians anymore, Congress or BJP or any other party, none of them deserve to rule Goa. Give me one politician who is clean %u2013 they are all corrupt; they are all looters and thieves %u2013 so much for democracy. And those who side any of these politicians, Congress or BJP or NCP or damn it, whichever party -are not helping democracy, they are equally responsible of destroying GOA.

what better can one expect from the BJP.
it is a party with a difference.

for a party that could escort 3 dreaded terrorists along with 250 million dollars to pakistan , this is chicken feed.

bjp will not think twice for stooping so low in politics. they are afterall a morally bankrupt party.

Chance to show loyalty
by Techcool on Jul 26, 2007 07:12 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Time has come for Mrs Patil to show her loyalty/puppetness to Congress party by dissolving GOA govt. I am sure GOA governor will recommend for President's rule if BJP forms next Govt and its time for Patil to show its puppetness.

I think this will be the first test for prathiba patel.Whether goa assembly will be dissolved or president rule will be enforced or all horse trading will play will be know in few days.As it is congress which is going to lose power in assembly i think president rule might be enforced.Becoz the puppet president is under the control of italian women.'Let us wait and see

Governor is a loyal Congressman. That means we continue with Congress Govt. minus NCP and others. People had a choice, but they voted for the same crooks, for short term gains or may be misguided. Six months won't make them any wiser. Only more ill gotten money will come out to get them re-elected

No smalll states!!!
by ravi kancharana on Jul 26, 2007 01:37 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Telangana chief KCR must understand the fact that smaller states would definetly have instale govts and MLAs would always be busy in money making and plotting to kick the existing govt!!!if politicians have real thirst for development, size of the state doesnot matter

Corruption is rampant all over the country. U name it, even the holy cows judiciary, army too are afflicted by this menace. Smaller states will certainely develop better. Infact people of Goa have better living conditions than the state of AP. The main fear of Andhra's is the seperate Telangana, means the new state will build irrigation projects in the state, and the Andhra region will have to share the surplus waters which rightfully belongs to telangana.

There is already law to curb the change of loyalty but how to stop MLAs/MPs indulged in horse trading is a big issue. Law for the same is required to be formed.
