The biggest crisis for the country is the Congress itself.
by chanakya maurya on Jul 26, 2007 02:51 PM  Permalink

Jawahar created the first one by going to the UN for Kashmir matter.

Thereafter there have been series of crisis and disaster under the congress rule which helped multiply the bhrushtaachaar manifold.

Even PMs started indulging in it.

Now it has turned into a pack of hungry wolves.

Hungry for power.

Goa Crisis
by abraham thomas on Jul 26, 2007 12:28 PM  Permalink

Politics is nasty, all politicians except some good, are playing for them and very selfish. Parties, whoever may be, want only power and money, not people or their welfare.

Now something gud will happen... :-)
by Vishal Chodnekar on Jul 26, 2007 11:30 AM  Permalink

Sometimes one has to make sacrifices and adjustments for the benefit of the society at large. BJP has made adjustment, and its in no way shame on Mr. Parrikar bcoz he said he wont form the govt if he does not get a majority.

If people say its shame on Mr. Parrikar, i would say its a shame o the people of Goa who did not vote him to power. They should have given him a clear majority considering the background of the congress politicians that have been voted to power by the same people that are shouting out now.
Given the current political situation in Goa, Mr. Parrikar is the only viable option for the CM's post. People of Goa voted to make him the CM keeping in mind his past performance. It is very important for the Congress led Govt. to collapse so that the Regional Plan is not reviwed. With parrikar we can rest assure that at least some development will happen which otherwise would have never happened.
Now some thing will happen ... :-)

Good for progress of Goa
by Naren on Jul 26, 2007 11:23 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Congress has same thing last year...and particularly when Goa was developing fast under BJP.

BJP has always shown good administartion and development capabilities in states and centre..as political accumen of BJP is less dirtier than Congress they always fail to get power.

If same thing happens in centre with Vajpayee ji as PM.. ( a visionary in true sense).. That will be best for India...

Its really dream for the good of our country.

It will be great day for India rather having puppet President and Puppet poor PM.. and having 420 people in power.

Something good is haapeneing to Goa.

Impose presidents rule
by as sadf on Jul 26, 2007 11:14 AM  Permalink

I think the center should impose presidets rule in Goa to save us Goans from corrupt politicians like Babush Monseratte (MONSTER RAT) who have no other interest in mind except gifting Goan lands to the land-mafia.
This is the same man whom Parrikar had been abusing for the last 2 years and now he is aligning with him.
Churchill, Dhavlikar Salgaonkar, they are all the same. They sell themselves to the highest bidder.

Congress reduced to Minority
by vipul muni on Jul 26, 2007 10:51 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Goa is a small state with a very few assembly seats But number of politcal parties are more than the Assembly seats. So these horse trading will always be there and no Party will be able to rule Goa in future.

Solution for this: Cancel the State status forGoa and add it to Maharashtra and Karnataka equally. At least one head will be can be cured.

Goa Crisis
by Ananthasivan Nellepalli Nilakanta on Jul 26, 2007 10:50 AM  Permalink

It is a sad story of the elected representatives changing sides. None of the parties either congress or BJP the the defected representatives and try to form the government. This is simply a horse trading for the power and money. People are still not learning the lesson. See the centre, where a minority congress ruling the government the with some of the ministers almost can't walk and talk - so aged. All the works and advice are given by the under secretaries and the ministers simply sign. How our country is going to learn a lesson.

Make Goa Union Territory
by Venugopalan Nair on Jul 26, 2007 10:46 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

The only way out for a state which has produced 15 CM in a decade is to make it a Union territory.

Democracy in Goa experience is essentially horse trading.

I think Goa as a state is run very well thank you. We've had our share of political instability but that doesnt mean anyone and everyone can comment on the status of my state. I'd prefer it if the so-called-experts utilised their time and energy to take care of matters closer to their homelands and let us goans handle our matters by ourselves. We dont go poking our noses in business concerned with other states. This is a failure of the constitutional machinery, not some mass homicide.
Chill out. It's been 20 years since this thing started and we've not taken a step back. Goa is still everyone's dream destination isnt it?
