Stop this hatred, please
by Vijay Sharma on Jul 27, 2007 01:42 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Please, let us stop this hatred and intolerance of each others religions. After all, religions are inventions of mankind, and no religion is better or worse than any other. Let each one be and act as though he/she does not belong to any religion / race / caste / any other form of demarcation, and we will experience a better world.

What a statement. All things are man made. How can you wish a thing away when it is existing all over the world, man made or no man made. There is no harm in discussing religions or philosophy (or otherwise) of any society and call spade a spade so that no one lives under allusion.Right?

I wish everyone, especially the terrorists and their community had such sensible thoughts. We always thought mankind is one, but we are made to feel by the words & deeds of some sections of people that we are kafirs and we deserve nothing better. If you have neighbours from the community you will realise the conscious differentiation. They beleive they are right and everyone else is stupid and an enemy. This happens only with this community, neighbours from other communities behave absolutely normal. Since we have to live with them, we reconcile ourselves but not they. You alone appreciating such ideals of all of humankind being one comes to a nought, if the others don't reciprocate.

Arab racism
by Hari Puttar on Jul 27, 2007 11:26 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Mawali or mawala is a term in Classical Arabic used to address non-Arab Muslims. In the second half of the seventh century, the Mawali were considered a second class in Arabian society beneath free tribesmen. The term gained prominence in the centuries following the Arab Muslims conquests in the 7th century AD, when many non-Arabs such as Persians, Egyptians, and Turks entered Islam. These new Muslim converts were treated as second class citizens by the ruling Arab elite, until the end of the Umayyad dynasty. Under the Abbasid rulers of the 9th century AD, the Mawali comprised an important part of the mercenary army. The fragmentation of the Abbasid Caliphate, took place with the mawali's rise to power, the Saffarids in the Greater Iran, the Ghaznavidss in Sind, and the Qarmatians in the Arabian Peninsula Together, the rise of these ethnic groups to power, forced the retreat of the Abbasid Caliph back to Baghdad around 900 AD.

ASHOK I AGREE WITH U, B'COZ HE TOLD THE POLICE THAT HE HAD 7 DAYS APPROVED LEAVE & STILL HE BOOKED ONLY 1WAY TICKET WHEREAS THE CEO OF GOLD COAST HOSPITAL STATES THAT HANEEF WAS SUPPOSED TO REPORT FOR WORK ON 4TH I.E. THE NEXT DAY.
THIS EVIDENCE IS QUITE ENOUGH TO BOOK HIM.
