Indeed this is a black day in the history when a scam tainted person is elected as a president of our country. SHAME on CONGRESS (UPA)ULTA PULTA ALLIANCE ??? SHAME ON all who voted 4 her ???
I have always been and will be a firm BJP supporter, however I sincerely feel selection of Pratibha Patil as the President is the best thing to happen. There is nothing Marathi about it.
I have a firm belief that Pratibha Tai will prove to be the most efficient President that India has ever seen, far better than Dr. Abdul Kalam. Remember, there were several congress contenders loyal to Gandhi Nahru family, but why only she got the opportunity? Just because of her own merits, she has risen from ranks.
She is a traditional aristocratic Hindu women who never fails to cover her head with pallu, however her thoughts are revolutionary and she is always firm in her decisions. She had been a great social worker and established several educational institutions in Jalgaon. Please dont make fun of her spiritual powers they are in line with Hindu belief and traditions and make her more powerful and strong.
Just wait and watch, she wont be just puppet of Sonia Gandhi. She will nurture the nation like her own child and after 5 years from now India will sing its glory in favor of Honble Pratibha tai.

Sangeethaji, we are not convinced.
It is plain ridiculous to presume that she would be a better president than Kalam.
Her revolutionary thoughts: you mean the purdah one? too bad she could not forsee the minority's reaction. Her thought on family planning during emrgency sounded stupid, not revolutionary
Her election was to satisfy the left, mayawati etc in one go. Nothing meritious about it.
Her social work - yeah we have read enough of the misappropriation of public funds, the bank going bankrupt, pending murder charges and court orders involving her kith and kin. We are not in a position to believe if these stories are fabricated or not. We wont believe if she says so. She needs to prove factually.
Her talking to spirits is in line with Hindu belief? You must be a real dumbo to say that. It is superstition, not religion.

hello sangeeta..i appreciate the fact tht though she came amongst the ranks and her staunch belief in spirituality and all tht....lemme make it very clear,a nation like India which is still very much a developing country needs a person to occupy the coveted seat of RP Bhavan to be the face of the entire nation. His/Her stature should put across the message to fellow counterparts...we need to realise tht this is no profile whr one gets elected just to fill in the gap. Mrs Patil thouroughly does not deserve this post and a young independent nation wud luv to hav a visionary to ignite the young minds...Salam Kalam.

This is the first woman president, but also the first tainted president in India elected by majority of tainted MP's and MLAs. She doesn't deserve as this TOP POST as majority of Indians are against her including UPAs own actual supporters as well. Today is the another blackest day of Indian Democracy after Independence.
A sad day for INDIA. CONG/LEFT and other who defied public opinion should be prosecuted. I will never vote for CONG. SONIA GO BACK TO ITALY. PRATIBHA GO BACK TO JAIL. MANMOHAN SINGH GO BACK TO COLLEGE.

What she will do as president Can any body explain me! I ahve no idea but she will shift all her family ( son,duaghter,daughter-in-law,husband,son-in-law,grandsons,great grand sons & she will monitor their well being,education,social needs etc.
I thick these things she will perform better in the very HIGHEST OFFICE
