The news regarding Haneef is real tragedy for any innocent man caught in paranoid security forces' radar. Any one, forget wherever he belongs, this is the tragedy that can take ones' lives out of track within a minute. You need not be Christian or Hindu to escape it. It can happen to anyone. My point is understand the humane angle of the episode and stop stereotyping.
Unrelated to this story, our high intellectual class often stereotype any inadvertant accident with women as molestation and what not... After seeing guys driving the mahindra jeep, it is certain that 10 year old girl was not molested as suggested by women groups but met with an accident.
Therefore, we must not keep stereotyping every one with one incident.
Satya You are extremely biased against RSS/VHP. RSS has no mind set to destroy Muslims or to convert Muslims. You have only couple od retaliatory incidents like Gujrath or Babri Masjid. It is utterly non-sense to attribute to RSS or VHP for that because RSS or VHP does not have that much influence or clout to relatiate in such a big way. It was a huge chunk of Hindus that got enraged in Gujrath over burning of Kar Sevaks. Fact that the riots did not spread to any other parts of India including where BJP ruled shows the constraint and shows it was reliatory. If RSS had really masternibded the Gujrath problems there would have been problems all over India or at the least where BJP was in power. Also, it did not go to another temporal segment. This is such contrast to Islamic terrorists attitude.
I always get this picture in mind when I remember Gujrath: An elephant is sleeping and a fleet of insects with sharp stings biting the pachyderm. Being a pachyderm, it does not care. Emboldened by elephant's lax attitude they swarm on the elephant and trouble it continously. The elephant wakes up and splashes its trunk on its back instantly killing many insects. But splat was so intense that even elephant gets back hurts a little. But it does not care and goes to sleep. But other animals jealous of elephants normally good behaviour make fun of it trying again to make it angry. If the elephnat gets angry who is repsonsible?

Please dont talk taking sideof RSS/VHP. They are not doing anything for the country but just to benefit themselves. For that matter Shivsena and all political parties.
It is clear that Haneef is neither a terrorist who bombed nor he is 100% innocent. He should neither be treated like a hero nor a demon. He should be treated like any other person accused to be a criminal. Do you publish every move of all accused people? If you do is that not a waste of time and resources - Ours and yours? So it is my humble request to stop giving so much importance to this news. There are many other important news items in other news papers that I don't see here on rediff. There are many places where huge masses of people peacefully protesting SEZ's - why is that not a news - Is that because they are peaceful?

This news is very important brother as the whole world wants to tarnish us Indians as terrorists....
and no its not because of the muslims its a greater game plan of imperialistic nations who are conquering people and countries who are taking advantage of foolish devils like osama and kafeel etc....
ALl of us need to be aware of what happened to haneef and why???
Mr Satya, Have you heard any hindu planting a bomb? Have you heard any hindu executing any terrorist attack internationally? Have you heard of any hindu like Osama omitting the evils against all other religions? And whatever you say about Sangh Parivar but this is beyond doubt that it acts in the interest of nation, not like muslim terrorists which act in the interest of their religion. So it is obvious that Sangh parivar can never be compared with terrorists. Because as you can see that muslim terrorists are not nationalists even, the example of Lal Masjid in Pakistan is self explanatory.

Guj riots - retaliation for buring 55 people alive = Please read my post above for more on Gujrat Bhagalpur riots - No I have not heard abt this. SO cannot and should not comment Mumbai - riots - Again retailation - Moreover, it was not one sided cowrd terror attck on unsuspecting people. It was a battle. lower/upper caste problem - this is a major problem of Hinduism. But this was not against another religion nor against another country. Moreover, surprisngly and painfully , it is rampant in other Non-Hindu religions too.
ULFA and Naxalites movements are fomented by anti- national element funded by outside agencies mainly like ISI and Bangla and also some western countries.
Real problem with Hinduism is the discrimination between the castes - not he caste sstem itself.
amar i understand your frustation with terror attcks in india by muslim terrorists.but lets treat them as terrorists not the whole community should be blamed.Thease are terrible crimes and i hope fellow muslim brothres will understand the anger and frustation.
muslim are 14% of indian population..means 140 million..just say(for debate)even we have 14,000 terrorists(which is 1% say for )!! what about the innocent 99% of our innocent brothers and fellow indians. remember these are mostly unemployed and a target of pakistan ISI,so lets hope for overall development in India including muslims and educated and wise muslims needs to do a lot better job to reform their community,no doubt!!
don't forget these 99% own India as much we hindus do!!most of them are also living in this country for 5000 years.
SO lets not try to divide ,we should all unite in this hour of crisis,thats what for our nation is formed.Unity in diversity,freedom and secular democracy.

I think you havent been with the fundamentalist muslims in schools and colleges in India! Very few muslims are patriotic, atleast not harmful to country.
