Mr.Jeevan, the entire country knows that this puppet has been chosen by the Italian so that she can become prime minister with the help of spineless congress chaps, with the help of equally spineless leftists. So, please don't try to pretend as if you are a man of justice.

No, I am not defending pratibha and I am not happy about her choice. But that does not give me any right to call her a criminal. If she is the criminal, why did we allowed her to continue till now in other public offices? is it ok, if being a criminal she was allowed to perform the role of the Governor? Her last postion...

Dr Kalam - The President we mill
by ramasatyanarayana POLAVARAPU on Jul 23, 2007 08:59 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Fellow Indians!

We are no more a country where majority voice heared and implemented by the so called politicians for their narrow mindedness.

So be happy what ever they do and forget you have any say in the future of your country.

Dr Kalam's candidature is supported by more than 69% of the votes polled in each and every survey. But what is the use.

What exactly will you miss? Just because he now is ex-president, dont you want to listen to his speeches? Dont this country's youths would avoid interacting with him? If yes, then we were more curious to watch Kalam, the president and not kalam, the Bharat ratna.. which is then a shame..

where are self proclaimed leftist intellectuals ?
As understand, apart from Sonia, it was leftist who were against Kalam to grant second term
Absolute power corrupts absolutely that they even dont bother to respect national sentiment
Its a shame to see people like Somnath presenting farewell to kalam
what a joke !

Karunanidhi THE OPPORTUNIST
by Shoban Babu on Jul 23, 2007 08:54 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Dr.Kalam is always our (people's) president. Now we all know who is in politics.
Tamilnadu CM Karunanidhi who always portrays himself as an Tamil saviour shows his true face to the nation by not favouring Dr.Kalam for the second term.

I dont agree.... Kalam was not preferred by congress, which has the moral right to select its president. Moreover, lets remember, that being the president of india is more of a decoratory post and may not be the most powerfull or the enviable post to occupy in..

hi jeevan,
i agree it is the "moral right" of congress. But what is congress without the people. In democarcy the will of the people should be the path for the party in power. Personally i feel it is the biggest blunder by congress not supporting Kalam as you can find the anger lurking in the minds of many youth. Don't know how much it would affect the votes but it has definitely affected the image. But youth have a very long memory.

We should really show what we feel by voting in the elections. The politicians donot take middle-class seriously because we never go too vote during the polls. This should change. Thats why we are levied with all kind of unimaginable taxes by finance minister

The great philosopher Abdul Kalam Saab.
by Babu Kutty Philipose on Jul 23, 2007 08:53 PM  Permalink

You are not only a great scientist, but a philosopher, thinker, and one of the finest human beings the world had ever seen. When you mentioned about joining the Anna University as a Professor, I felt uncomfortable because of my greed to have more and more contributions from you for me, fellow citizens, and the future generations. But when I learnt that you are going to be the Vice Chanceller of the University to be started soon by the VSSC-Trivandrum, it fascinated me as a great news. You being a self-less great personality have surrendered your valuable life to this great nation of ours and we all feel real proud of you Saab. Your suggestions to our MPs for formulating the \\\"21st Century Parliamentary Vision for India\\\" and an \\\"Energy Independence Bill\\\" and \\\"National Prosperity Index\\\" etc. are the marvelous things our politicians should follow to make this one of the most prosperious nations on earth. The people of our great country would never forget your name Abdul Kalam Saab, and I wish to \\\"bow down and touch your feet\\\" for my personal satisfaction Sir. If God willing, I am previleged to do this in the near future as my home town is only about 75 KM away from your VSSC. I pray to the Almighty God to give you \\\"Good Health\\\" to witness our nation as a \\\"Developed Country\\\". In my humble opinion, our country has already became a \\\"Semi-Developed Country\\\" by now. Saab, you will live in

India's Loss
by Feedback on Jul 23, 2007 08:50 PM  Permalink

The fact we as Indians could not come together and keep Dr.Kalam as our President for a longer duration is our nation's greatest loss in recent times. Politics has once again played its ugly role reinforcing the sad fact it is just not an arena for people with vision. The only objective of the powers 'that are' is to maintain the status-quo. What is really painful is how a person of the calibre of our PM can play along in this mess ........The only consolation is people like Dr.Kalam whether they are in an executive position or not love our nation too much to just leave it and walk away. Very sure he will continue his good work for our Country, in whatever capacity. It is such fond hopes that keeps our great nation alive and helpless people like us, going - ESSEN Mani.
