This was a great achievement for the members of the Special Task Force. I think this incident will tremble the nerves of the other dacoits.

The STF was there in the past also. How come it succeeded in eliminating Dadua only after the fall of the Mulayam Govt.?

Loss for Politics
by Jackson on Jul 22, 2007 05:53 PM  Permalink

No doubt a major blow for Democracy and Politics in India.

He looks like he could have held much more senior positions even at Union Ministry Level.

When the politicians want the police to miss him it will happen and if they want him to be killed it will also happen. Its all in the hands of the politicians to live or to die for the bandits. Now probably he tried his luck against few politicians hence killed.

Eight years ago Dadua hoodwinked police by draping himself in a sari and disappearing into a crowd of women. Eight years later, he hoodwinked them again, this time in a sadhu?s robes, and opened the Hanuman temple he had promised in thanksgiving.
The 95-foot temple, built at a cost of nearly Rs 70 lakh, is a three-tier structure shaped like a chariot. A huge Hanuman statue stands on the topmost tier and another one in gold in the sanctum sanctorum on the first tier. Priests and sadhus milled on all three levels, busily chanting ?Jai Hanuman? and ?Jai Dadua?.
