Its possible for any party in power ( Congress at present ) to ignore general public's wishes , as most of Indian public wanted to re-elect Mr. APJ kalam as president. But Indian public never forget govt. arrogance & takes revenge at the time of election , as they had defeted NDA in last election , as it has become very arrogant. So, this time also Public will throw UPA out of power. If they dont want Kalam then they should nominate somebody of same stature & respected person for presidential post. They are just making populist decision , like first Female president of India , but we are very sure it'll not make any improvement in Indian females status & they'll not be able to get any votes from this propogenda. Similarly they couldnt get any significat Muslim Votes in UP election even after out of way appeasement of Muslims ( like first right of Muslims on Natural resources of country ).

It seems you have a grudge against Congress. Both BJP and Congress decided not to go for Kalam against the wishes of majority Indians. They conluded that the Prsident must have political background. So far politics of vote bank is concerned, each and every party plyas the same game. Some more blatantly and some less. In this regard , he most naked action was demolition of Babri Masjid. This brought bug gain for BJP and wrecked Congress. It was to have a chain reaction and so it was countered by a further worse move and that was V. P. Singh's Mandal Commission policy. That opened the flood gates for cast politics and as a result, for quite some time to come we shall have to be satisfied with lame duck government at the centre. Whether it is NDA or UPA in Delhi, the result will be same. Because of the short sighted fundamentalist policy of RSS, we are paying heavy prices. God knows how long this lame duck government will continue. Please appreciate that there are pnly two parties in India who can be called national parties and they are BJP and Congress. If both these parties become strong, India will be benifitted. But the short sighted policies are ruining us and for that I blame RSS more than BJP. When Advani spoke the truth about Jinnah, RSS behaved in a most shocking way and Advani was removed from power. Today BJP has no option but to depend on the old man. Rajnath Singh may be the President on paper, the real President is Advani. So unless BJP can come out from the clutch

It is unfortunate that a person who should have been behind the bars is going to become PRESIDENT. All can understand to what extent Sonia and her PUPPETS are going to SEL US to the foreign powers.
