Rediff given a scope to us to write our opinion. Now we are justifying who is better. Prativa or Sekhawat ? But we forget when UPA came to power and the selection was in our hand then why not u discussed that time that please vote to BJB or other. Friends we have no power to elect our president. She or he. Both we have to accept. Everyone is currupted. Obviously they must want a currupted president.

Pak is "ISLAMIC REPULIC OF PAKISTHAN". It can never be democratic. Mushraf never loose a penny if the court gives judgement against him. Never try to compare pak with India where Minority can become a president. We have a greatest & biggest democracy in the world. U cant make it happen in US & UK.
UNPA tried to keep Dr.Kalam as presidential candidate and failed, as Hon'ble Kalam not accepted it. This is the way they wanna play dirty politics using minority symbol. But Congress keep their own candidate and won the election. So its better to appreciatem them for the win

To maintain power and your leadership, Sonia wants to surround herself with weak people or hopeless leaders. They are always going bow to her as they feel grateful to her for whatever they have got in return. Mrs Patil is going to create history by being the most fragile, tamed, non existent President in the history of free India. I would be happy if she proves me wrong.
It is so frustrating to see that crazy Sonia is able to do whatever she wants without caring about sentiments of general population. Perhaps she is learning from Bush.
Next general election, however, is going to shock them, I am sure. Sonia! embrace yourself for flat defeat...
The uneducated people who are using this post to rant out against the new President of India need to go and read a little bit about the Indian Constitution. They will find what the post of the President of India requires. It is NOT an office of public election. So if you really do not like your leaders selecting the President for you, please demand a change in the Constitution. As Regards Dr. kalam, he has had his term, and not all the people of India and certainly not our leaders, who eventually have to elect, want him in. So accept it like educated and mature citizens, he is out!!!

It is sad that we have elected a person with questionable ethics and who may be a criminal. It is sad that India is replacing the greatness of Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, perhaps the best Indian president ever with someone whose only claim to fame is that she won a beauty pageant in an unknown college. Why did we not do better than this? Every Indian will be ashamed to name their president. That was not the case when Dr. Kalam was president. Waiting for 2009 for the next president.
in light of the new appointment, all defence related decisions will be taken only in consultation with the dead BABA who speaks with the new president and advises her !!!

as a true indian i never accept the leader who is involved in scam as a president of our great nationa India...as a person she should analyze her whether she is capable of holding such a big position in India...and if she thinks that she should then go ahead pratibha....all the best and if you think that you are not capable then you should resign immediately as it is not easy to handle this position..
