by CHETAN on Jul 21, 2007 08:06 PM  Permalink

Atleast we have a first women president. That itself is an achievement.Anyway the presidents are not allowed to take any decisions without the parliaments approval so how does it matter who became president??Lots of seat/support would have conspired betw Mayavati and UPA,again thats politics and nothing to do with goverance.God save our country.

We are a great nation ruled by Mdm Sonia Gandhi and her Communist chamchas. Presidents and Prime Ministers are irrelevant.

You are cursing people for having no brains. That is not a logical argument. An ad hominem attack means nothing. Can you deny that India is now ruled by Mdm Sonia Gandhi and her Communist chamchas? Can you deny that Prime Ministers and Presidents are irrelevant? Can you deny that we will be ruled by Mr Rahul Gandhi in future? Can you deny that Mrs Pratibha Patil has not answered any of the allegations against her? Would like to hear your arguments!

Hi Nandu.

"...They would even hold her responsible for the heavy rains in Maharashtra & Rajasthan! ..."

I am a personal witness to these kind of comment even at high level intelligentia.

Sample this. One PHd. holder, research Scientist telling his Director of the organisation:

" Since the time Sonia came to India, we got floods in the country."

He was commenting to a flood situation in Andhra Pradesh.

Just an example, even how people with high education, allow blur their minds with the whispering campaign of BJP/RSS. Sometime even young children hear these kind of comments at home from their parents and repeat them in office only to get laughed and jeered at.

These kind of rational blurring has led to birth of extrimism and finally terrorism.

Lots of parents do not understand how they influence young minds with their silly comments and then finally never get a chance to regret.

We must not allow blind hatred to take over our rational mind.

Pleasure Of A Moment Vs. Pain Of A Lifetime
by Pawan Singh on Jul 21, 2007 08:00 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Go on Congress - distribute laddoos, twirl your moustaches, shove platitudes down our throats, dance on our heads and trample our feelings. Your doom is foretold. Your eclipse is at most a year away and Pratibha shall be the first President to be impeached. Yes, she is destined for more records. It is there in her political genes.

Yet, for the sake of the country I wish her well. I pray she casts off the hand that led her up the garden path.

COngratulations Ms Pratibha patil ji. You have a very graceful indian persona, which will bring warmth to the post of prez. Please do not be disheartened by the vitriol of RSS, BJP and their supporters, who have again fallen to new depths and are again targeting a defenceless old women with dirty and malacious rumors.
Your predecessor, Dr kalam was also a famous president, but from the POV of president, he did not do much; except saying that indians should go to mars, jupiter, andromeda galaxy etc.
you can fill that gap by bringing some improvements in the bill approval process.

Again, please do not be disheartened by the dirty vitriol of BJP supporters; who are experts in rumor generation, believing their own lies, and disrespecting women. The large silent majority of the country is with you; and we all wish you all the best

The main improvement in the bill approval process is that she should consult Mdm Sonia Gandhi and sign all documents without causing any trouble.
