Am impressed in the overwhelming response to the new Lady President. This shows that Gender issue has less of issue in our country which is a giant leap forward in positive direction.

Nobody is praising her or folks like her. But these opinions should be expressed rationally. If you're right, its not needed for you to de-grade other community or state.
TW, how many south(y) people have fought in Freeadom Fight. It was all Maharashtrians, North Indians & Bengalis. No South(y)s.

sandesh, the last i knew mumbai was a part of maharastra.. in the presidential election, the state stand or the party stand is important. because common people cannot even vote. in the discussion here people are discussing abt their stand.

Though Sonia and party choose the president of India of its choice for the Indian Public. Yet I wish that the warm chair of the highest post of the country will help the current president to become most successful , powerful and wise president of India.Let the people who think Madam as a mere rubber stamp prove wrong.

sure she can be successful. now as a president, she would get presidential immunity. so no legal action can be taken against her. with nothing to stop her, it wouldnt be strange if she gets all the cases against her cancelled. i see only one faint ray of hope. If the cases against her prove right, and she makes use of her presidential immunity, to stay in power. this would be causing a negative effect on the congress party. maybe a move to impeachment.. might be possible. but it is a far too fetched thought.

yes u r absolutel right. In fact she is to much clever that she is able to make fool of ~1.1 billion people jus because we fight for caste, religion, regional-statepolitics
Next elecetion we will see chinese, we already have italians ruling(since ~1.1 billion Indians are not able to make a good prime minister and president). Next time the nomination will be from Lefties ofcourse with KIND cooperation from congress, and they just prefer their Chinese Boss.
