RE:Why did Sonia kick Dr. Kalam out?
by HARI GOPAL on Aug 03, 2007 07:35 AM  Permalink
It is painful to read the usuage of word kick for Dr.Kalam. It could have been used ,had it been foceful,Dr Kalam was never an aspirant him self.It is not sonia alone but many leadres from lefet and other congress(any make)have made silly comments like `we do not want presidents who write and recite poem or a president should know politics well so as to justify his office.

New President Patil a misfit
by Naik Family on Jul 23, 2007 07:29 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

All of India's former presidents had either stature and /or a good academic background. Most have been scholars. The current president Patil has nothing except that her most formidable credential being a good Congress (read Sonai's) puppet. Guess in India that is the only required criteria these days. As if they couldn't find any other women with more education or qualification.

Great President!!
by Jay on Jul 22, 2007 12:04 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

It is indeed remarkable to have a president like this for our country. The word ' Great ' definitely fits this gentleman and our president Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam.
We had some presidents who did not fit their roles and this president did inspire, melt, mingled gave a recognition to this office.

Just to gain the a historical reference credit for a party and individual today we see a woman president. Though their are many distinguished women, why should cong. choose a woman unknown to the masses as a candidate is anyone's understanding. She could definitely be good but is she great?
Just look at the current scenario every party is fielding a muslim candidate. It is clearly evident that every party wants to project as though they are pro with a particular religion. Hopefully muslims do not get misled by these gimmicks.

People at MIT Chennai are definitely lucky to have got a former president as of their lecturers. We wish he also visits other universities and inspires everyone.

Thanks for ABV and his govt. for bringing him into office. Let us hope and wait for a president like this in future.

Jay

Presidential Cavalcade Since 1950....
by D goel on Jul 21, 2007 02:09 PM  Permalink

Pkl. Afternoon, 1.50pm, Saturday ,July ,21st,2007
Well the listing of Ist citizens at lutyen's palace shows the very multiplicity of Contemporary indian society ,in a way. While there are distiguished scholars and Statemaen like Radhakkrishnan, Rajendra Prasad ,Zakir Hussain , Abdul Kalam ,KR Naryanan who were the best seasoned personalities that left their significant impress as their foot-prints on time. in many senses first two RRS had rarely been equalled, perhaps, by the the latest remitter ie Dr Abdul Kalaam, rest where not so distinguished.Despite UPA and Commies making much of Narayanan's role as the first Dalit occupant ...Some of them even were downright sycophants like Gyaniji and the venal Fakhruddin Ali-Ahmad- who ,it is pejoratively told, signed the statute declaring Emergency in June 1975 , while sitting on his Toilet seat, without reading it!Likewise Gyaniji declared at the top of his turban that he would sweep the streets on Indira's biddings!...Cads. so let us see the first Lady to be Shrimati Pratibhaji follows stalwarts like Kalam , Zakir hussain , or the Founders like Prasad and Radhakrishnan or falls for sycophancy to Sonia Mainu Gandhi after July 25.Dharmendra Goel

Worst Prez was Fakhrudin Ali
by Vinay Gupta on Jul 21, 2007 01:29 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

From the list, in my opinion Fakhrudin Ali was worst followed by KR Narayan.

It is really shocking to know that Indir and Prez at that time did not attend the funeral of Dr Radhakrishnan.

This shows their arrogance and democratic mind set. Congress must say sorry

Worst means who didnot performed his duties or overstepped.

Fakhruddin signed emmergency without verifying whether it is passed by the parliament or not. He was such idiot.

Do i need to tell the meaning of worst now

Politician dominated India - change the constituion
by fun guy on Jul 21, 2007 10:53 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

What did they do for India?. What can they do with this constitution. This is politician dominated India. some fool may ask the question who elects the politician. All won't think alike. Why do you need a police station?. Why do you need a court?. why do you need a written constitution, In fact in many pages?. Here the pillar supporting the India is very weak. can any one get clear meaning of constituiton from the 70 percent of the rural population and mainly casts their vote. What a poor presidents
