as usual a very different and nail on the head perspective from Mr Rajeev Srinivasan. Indians have very little influence on india forget about other countries. Our politicians are so corrupt I will have to say that india is a miracle itself, There must be some values which has carried it for so many years.
Rajeev has pointed out something very rightly. Americans are too backward and too narrow-minded to accept either a woman or a non-white as a President. Countries like the U.S. and U.K. are only outwardly multi-cultural and ostensibly modern. And Rajeev, please do not underrate the Indians. Humility and subtlety are Indian Virtues. Don't take these to be weaknesses. I don't see why you want Indians to behave like the Chinese, the Arabs, or the whites.
As has been the trend, another masterfully written column from Rajeev! Rajeev's articles should be chosen as classroom material for Contemporary History lessons in schools. The facts that he diligently researches and presents to us are as relevant as his analyses are.An original and true thinker. Kudos to Rajeev!
Bush and Blackwill together have changed the complexion of India-US relationship and taken it to a new, better level. Blackwill put the "hyphenators" in the State Department, people who said India-Pakistan in same breath, in their place. Plus fighting a war in heart of Islamic world has diverted attention of the fundamentalists more towards killing Americans and sparing Indians; Indians are sitting ducks for them anyways (Pakistan probably has hundreds of sleepers, plus countless journalists and politicians on their payroll.) Bush admin has also shown less enthusiasm for cap-n-rollback at any cost policy for India's program. In short, there's less ambivalence and ambiguity from this administration, too bad BJP is not at the center to exploit Bush rule to the fullest.
In Chapter 6 of the book, titled "Faith," Obama writes that he "was not raised in a religious household." He describes his mother, raised by non-religious parents, as detached from religion, yet "in many ways the most spiritually awakened person that I have ever known." He describes his Kenyan father as "raised a Muslim," but a "confirmed atheist" by the time his parents met, and his Indonesian step-father as "a man who saw religion as not particularly useful." The chapter details how Obama, in his twenties, while working with local churches as a community organizer, came to understand "the power of the African American Christian religious tradition to spur social change And Obama is a confirmed Christian and so is his wife. I doubt the Saudis will be able to pull any strings here

all islamic rulers anywhere in the world are really non-islamic as per rule. Actually the do only non islamic things, Only the ruled are islamic and sometimes fanatic. Its really a paradox but least on any muslims mind. So there is no doubt that whose side obama is. I had checked few month ago his profile on wikipedia. His real name is Barack Hussein Obama Jr make no mistake.
We are just spectators we will see what happens, messaging here is just wasting ones time.
Obama's father was a Kenyan, and his step-father was an Indonesian. Since no mullah has ruled either marriage unlawful, it follows that his white American mother must have converted to Mohammedanism, too. Therefore, Obama was born to two Mohammedan parents.
We Indian do not have any self respect. If you don't respect youeself, nobody else will. So why expect one from others? We should first try to believe in ourself, have sle respect, dignity and honor. Then others will respect us, will take our sensitivity into consideration. This will come by default, without we demanding
I was wondering whether a Republican or Democrat will be better for India. Historically, Democrats have done more harm to India including encouraging Islamic terrorists to fight against India in Kashmir. More and more it is looking that the democrats are going to side with the Islamists much like the congress and communists are doing at the cost of nation's security. Currently, a Republican, though would like to have close ties with the epicenter of terroism, Pakistan, will also consider India to some extent. As you mentioned, I was also wondering about Obama's Indonesian connection and he has amassed money for this election. If at all a Democrat should win, it should be Hillary or any one other than Obama. A republican's chance appears slim but we can never count anything out. Imagine one more similar to 9/11.

I AGREE. Democrats, like UPA, play to the gallery. VOTE MITT ROMNEY!!! AMERICA's FIRST MORMON PRESIDENT.
Very farfetched and with out any shred of evidence. All said and done I do believe that America will do whatever that needs to be done to protect its interest. Nothing else matters. India should do what ever to protect its national interest. WHat we have acheived till now and going to achieve, was not given to us but inspiteof so many obstacles. Forget about candidates, in USA money talks, support whomever support us else pull the plug.
