Selection of Candidate
by Mathew Mathews on Jul 20, 2007 08:30 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Why should everyone look through the prism of religion and geography. I thought India was one nation, atleast thats the India I belong to. wudnt like to comment on the selection of President as the person's election is a forgone conclusion and irrespective of what is now the President of India. I would certainly welcome a non political person as President or Vice President since we have politicians at all other places. It is request that we for once believe that we are one strong united country not be divided by religion, caste or geography.

Guys, stop blaming Congress or Commies, start casting vote in every forthcoming elections I am sure you shall be able to vote these nonsense parties out of power..

If you consider an average 55% poling in a general election, the one who gets less than half of votes casted gets the power obvoiusly that person will be of criminal background or belong to stupid parties.. If poling %age goes up to at least 85% you shall be able to bring someone reasonable to power which can certainly change current scenario of minority apeasing etc., Government will work more effectively to do good things for general public.. Think about this..

Able credentials!
by Ramesh Kapoor on Jul 20, 2007 08:17 PM  Permalink

If he has such able credentials, why was he not selected to be the next President? The UPA is not only showing their immaturity but lack of political wisdom. So, in the end India will have a political savvy as a President and another one who will Chair the Rajya Sabha.

I like RSS puppets using strong words, assault, anti-indian, anti-hindu and what not..

but guys.. RSS-BJP represents only 10-20 % of the india population. We, as a democracy, we respect your feeling emotions but its the majority who decides whether it is an assault or anti-indian. :-)

damn you. It is the very minority of voices like you who are forcing majority to relook at our system.

To call one self as Hindu has become anti-secular in the words of morons like you.

Well, may be this is the way you are promoting RSS.

Finally, it looks like Hindustan is not for Hindus anymore. If so, where else can one look at....not at you and the rest of lumpen elements.

To reiterate, India is secular because of Hinduism....either protect Hinduism to be a true secular Indian or join a madrassa to talibanise this great country.

Now we have no choice left...raise our voice and say we are true Indians and true Hindus.

Aditi,
I agree, "Think beyond the religion". But dont you thing if we "really" think beyond religion, we wouldnt even need BJP. :-)

The formation of RSS and BJP is in fact based upon phony outdated "Hindu rashtra" phlosophy.

What india needs is a society thinking beyond religion, region etc. Then only we will be able elect correct, uncurrupt leaders.

The last minute cancellation of an international inter-faith conference in mid-May is the culmination of the crisis of religious freedom in Malaysia, and itself is a manifestation of the paradox of the oft-campaigned %u201CIslam Hadhari%u201D.

Over the past two years, the Malaysian government (under Prime Minister Abdullah Badawi) has promoted the concept of civilized Islam, or Islam Hadhari, emphasizing that Malaysia is a moderate Muslim country which should become a role model for other Muslim countries in promoting harmony, progress and economic development.

The cancellation of the conference was criticized by several Malaysian Muslim leaders. Former deputy prime minister An

India is further divided

By selecting Hamid Ansari UPA and left has divided india in the name minority, Majority, Dalit, SC, ST, Brahmin. Is it not simply to pacify muslim voters? UPA and Left can sell india for any longterm gain. If Mr Ansari's Biodata is only as a chief of minority, it is a shame decision
