dear left and upa, when it was said about abdhul kalam you had many critieria like that it has to be a politician and so on. now where is this criteria in the selection of vice president. i again state that people of india should be given the power to elect their president.

President of India does not have powers which affect common people directly as that of PM, therefore people of india should not be given the power to elect their president. It would be an unnecessary expenditure for such elections.
I think the Congress and its allies are NOT doing anything unheard of. They have power and they seek more power, so appoint the right people in the right places. Everyone does it, Prez Bush did it (Paul Wolfowitz, Cheney, Rumsfield) so the people who are complaining and whining need to understand this is normal in Politics. If the BJP is in power then they will do what they feel is good for their political future. The truth is Sonia Gandhi has foxed all the politicians of India, no one expected the Congress to rule again let alone win a majority, but they are in power. And its an outstanding political achievement. If you dont like them or Sonia Gandhi, dont vote for them when the time comes. But whining and abusing and complaining.... nah, grow up people.

If you don't vote for Congress then whom do you vote for? BJP is equally or more corrupt and devisive in nature. Communists will take you back to 18th century, SP is led by murderers. We need a fourth-front. A political revolution.
How many of us do really remember while voting a party. So howmany of educateds really go out and vote. Really vote ethical party, party with concern for that case no one is there but to a certain extent BJP showed the way. Even they need to mend their ways to comeup very strongly. They have to capture the rural people's mind and make them really vote for them. Only Urban people are not enough for them to WIN. SO BJP make a strong urge for good candidates and fight for peoples upliftment and go for the poor and the needy, developmental work rather than caste.

BJP is directly responsible for the killing of christians and muslims....who burnt alive the missionary Graham stains and his sons in orissa??it was Bajrang dal,the sister organisation which the BJP supports(and it supports BJP)That man Staines worked among lepors and he took Good care of their children....these bajrang dal and BJP people did nothing to help those lepors but killed this missionary and his 9yr and7yr old boys accusing him of "converting people to christianity" ..such a communal party should never come to power in india

Ask ur father how much ur family took to convert. U bhikaris just convert to get the funds from the missionaries. Graham Staines was converting people in the name of service. If he is really want to serve people then he should have been removed his religious mask and helped the people with out showing any religion. U scroundrals show money to poor people and convert them, Later their children start following the western way of life and abuse the real Indian cultures. Jangayya becomes James and Pentaiah becomes Peter and start abusing. U guys deserve that kind of treatment unless u will destroy the indian culture and make India a christland

Thanks for your crap "jet on". Hey, what don't you give him money to convert him back to his original religion. There is ABSOLUTELY no PROOF with anybody that can show people can convert because they get money. If people can be converted by greedy attitude, I bet $300B that Americans donated last year would have been sufficient to buy majority of Indians. I wonder why Christian population has declined in every decade since the partition.

There are other short cuts too... 5)A person may loose a general election still he may be a PM, via sElection to Rajaya sabha membership.
6)A convict sentenced to death may be pardoned or worse even set free if the political mandarins think so.
